you look so unhappy for someone with a 645
I'd assume it's because he can't afford to pay for an assistant to carry all the gear for him. Those MF studio cameras are fucking heavy.
i bought mine from http://www.ffordes.com/ they ship worldwide and have a decent selection, http://www.apertureuk.com/ have a nice selection of hasselblad (and other MF camera's) and ship worldwide. there is also ebay as well
Ffordes have a real problem with not updating their website when they sell products and still taking people's money. I tried to buy a Nikon D100 and a lens from there a while back that had been sold months before I 'bought' them. Took a week to sort shit out.
430EX looks good but I'm not really sure if it's worth £160-200
Two days with it and I can already say it's fully worth the price. I was at my dad's work yesterday taking some shots of the warehouse they use to work in and for closeups it was a bit dark, even bouncing it off the 16foot ceiling there made quite a big difference.
why did you buy the D3100 if you own a D7000? Also, I want a decent flash for my 1000D without breaking the bank. 430EX looks good but I'm not really sure if it's worth £160-200
Get a 430ex, they're worth it. Mine has benefitted my photographs more than some lenses that cost double the price.

you can still attempt to insult me as much as you want mate doesn't make you any less of an idiot, go play with your stilts
I wasn't trying to insult you? Your SOOC photos all had really bad white-balance so I assumed you were using a point and shoot (and editing the white-balance in later photos).
Hey camera gear thread. I am wondering if you can help me out. I'm going to buy a Canon 60d bundled with a kit but I don't know which one to get. My budget is $1,800 USD. Basically in the kit I want 1-2 lenses, I would like both of these images to be IS, I would like one to be an 18-135mm or an 18-55mm Canon lens. A Canon 60d. A 16-32 GB high speed card. A flash if possible. A spare battery. A camera bag to hold the equipment. UV filters if possible. A Lens cleaning kit. I'm just asking for some help(and hopefully in the right thread), if you guys could help that would be awesome.
Are you asking where to buy this stuff from or what stuff to get?
Take your pick
Sounds like a good plan, but I definitely think you should invest a little more in a better lens instead of compromising for a shitty (read entry level) zoom, let alone two of them. A fast (small number) aperture will benefit you worlds more than the canon marketing team would have you believe IS to be. A 60D and a budget of $1800 leaves you almost $1000 for a lens. Think about that. You might have to scrape together some cash for a memory card and other little stuff, but the lenses are worth it. For example, you could get a 200 2.8 and a 50 1.8. or you could get a 50 1.4 and a 28 1.8 On top of all of that, you can always expand your budget if you just save up a couple hundred dollars. I don't know what your situation is, but if you can afford $1800 for what I assume is your first real camera, I'm sure you can manage to wait a little longer and see what you can save up.
He should get the 60D body only, and buy a tamron 17-50 2.8, 50mm 1.8 and a 55-250 if he thinks he needs a tele. Otherwise, spring for a 50mm 1.8/1.4 and a 28/1.8 instead of the 55-250
So I've been using my 50mm 1.4 lately, and it gets really soft, like REALLY REALLY soft, at anything below F/2. And by soft I mean like everything is glowing and it just looks shitty and blurry. I'm pretty sure it's not meant to be like this, is it? It's an old canon FD lens by the way.
Best flash(Canon 450D if it matters) for under 250 US dollars. Go! (I really do appreciate it!)
Best flash(Canon 450D if it matters) for under 250 US dollars. Go! (I really do appreciate it!)
$30 more and the 430EXII is sooooo worth it.
-Nikon d90, flashpoint FA940NK external flash, 18-150mm + 70-300mm + 50mm, battergrip -Olympus OM-1, 28mm + 50mm + Promaster Macro lens + shittons of 400, 800, 3200 iso film.
$30 more and the 430EXII is sooooo worth it.
It's 341$ in Norway :(
Alright guys so I thought about it a little bit and checked some prices at a few websites. I also decided that I don't need a telephoto lens because I wouldn't really use it much. I also thought that it would be best for me to start off with a kit lens and work my way up from there. I have no idea on what to do for the case though. I visited the website B&H and I set up an account and I made a wishlist. Here it is 1. Canon EOS 60D DSLR Camera Kit with Canon EF-S 18-135mm Lens($1139.00) 2. Canon 430EX II Speedlite TTL Shoe-Mount Flash($284.00) 3. Canon BG-E9 Battery GRIP f/60D($171.03) 4. Transcend 16GB SDHC Card($28.99) 5. Canon Normal EF 50mm f/1.8 II Autofocus Lens($119.00) That comes up to a total of $1742.02 before tax. Tell me what you think of it and if any improvements could be made.

Make sure your SD card is at least Class 6 (class 10 is preferable) if you're going to use the video function at all. Even if you're not it'll come in handy when shooting burst. Other then that I think it's a pretty solid list. The only change I MIGHT make would be getting the 60d body only and then buying the 50 1.4. But taxes+shipping at those ranges can take up to $150 and that really limits your capabilities.
After using Jaanus' 5D/24-70mm L I decided to get some lens hoods, finally... :v:
i made a list of stuff that you can get with your 60D, although I'd ditch the 55-250 and for acsessories.
take the questions/suggestions to 'which camera is for me' thread, this is more an "I have this" thread, no?
yes but there's not enough gear wanking so we have to balance it out

Ahh... I just read the "gear discussion" in the title :\ I am confuse.

Laugh as he [presumably] flounders in auto mode and no editing skills.
