That's kinda what my 1.8 looks like at 2.0. Then again mine is a Canon so they will be different. Wide open at 1.8 doesn't change the aperture (in fact, all the blades are hidden away inside the lens body).

Link for a pic of it: http://www.cameraquest.com/OM1GOLD.htm A store had that one for a loooonnggg time, but they eventually sold it. They wanted like 1500 euro for it, quite good price actually because they are really rare, even rarer than my Canon 7sZ :worship:

Whenever my boyfriend fiddles with my SLR and tries to use it, it's cute as fuck. I'm sure it applies to everyone here with a partner who doesn't know how to photography.

Just curious, what's the shutter count on your 5D and how long have you had it?
Just curious, what's the shutter count on your 5D and how long have you had it?
Last I checked it a bit ago was at about 20k actuations october 2010 was around when I got it.

Hey frag, what do you think of the Canon AE-1 Program as far as FD shooters go? I have 2 but they are a bit broken, are they worth fixing up?
they are good
Hey frag, what do you think of the Canon AE-1 Program as far as FD shooters go? I have 2 but they are a bit broken, are they worth fixing up?
Uhm, that would depend on my what's broken. If it's something serious like the electronics, or the shutter won't work any more, i wouldn't invest in such a repair (the canon AE-1 is the most sold SLR ever, so it's really cheap to get a working one somewhere). A very good choice that you can get quite cheap is the Canon A-1, that has both Av and Tv mode, not a program mode, but i can even live with my F-1 Original being just "match the needle" mode  For as far as my opinion goes, it's better to buy a A-1 than a t-50 or t-70, those are just pieces of plastic compared to the A-1 (i am not mentioning the F series camera's here, those are even better build quality, because the A series are not made of metal, its just plastic sprayed over with a thin metal layer). My personal best choice would be fetching a Canon EF, it's same build quility as the F-1, but it's a semi-auto camera; you only need to adjust shutter speed and it just takes the normal 1.5V PX625 batteries (it needs 2). These camera's are just a bit more expensive, and they don't pop out too often, but if you can get one for a good deal, i would say, take this one. Otherwise i would say, get a Canon A-1. Please tell me what's broken on the AE-1 programms :) (if it's just the battery door, i know some places to buy those, so no big problem on that)
How dare you insult my T70 :( The T70 is a piece of high quality plastic!

The other one has decent foam but film won't wind through, I'm not sure what is wrong with that.
How dare you insult my T70 :( The T70 is a piece of high quality plastic!
lol i just made comparison between the two. The T70 is a good camera for shooting, but it's buildquality is not very good. The T90 which i consider is the best automatic canon FD mount model ever created but is nothing compared to my F-1 in terms of build quality, you can just feel the T90 is made of plastic, and it's way lighter than my F1 that is made of brass, also my EF is made of that material (lol you could literally beat a person to death with it and then take photo's with the camera of it when you're done). It's just my opinion on the camera's; i don't say they take better pictures because they are built better, that's a misapprehension. Also, just a question to you crhem, what FD gear do you own in total, i would be very interested what you have :) FYI, i will be posting a picture of my complete FD gear line-up in the next few days, i still have to do that... Most of the time film is off-center, it's just a manmade error with film loading. I would recommend buying a foam replacement kit off ebay, those are quite good and cheap. Here's a link to one: http://cgi.ebay.com/Canon-F1-all-versions-A1-AE1-AV1-AT1-Light-seal-kit-/150603390550?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item2310a95e56 Please note: the one with 2 seal kits is cheaper per piece, which is here: http://cgi.ebay.com/Canon-F1-A1-AE1-AV1-AT1-Two-camera-kit-seal-kit-/160586391676?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item2563b1e07c For the second one, is the film advance lever working, or is it jammed? If it's jammed, that's fixable, but it's not easy to fix yourself. In this case i wouldn't bother trying fixing this one, because if the other one just needs foam replacement, it's quite easy to do (but it takes a lot of time and it's a dirty job too because of the old foam you will need to remove.
I don't have a lot: Canon T70 Hoya 70-150mm f3.8 (and yes, Hoya does manufacture lenses, or at least did) Canon 50mm f1.8 Tokina 28-70mm f3.5-4.5 Tokina 28mm f2.8 (but the focusing ring is broken) I'll post a picture later, can't at the moment. EDIT: Pic, sorry for quality:

I mean, the only thing it doesn't do is shoot digital. All other features come from the fucking future. Plus, it's hella cheaper than a 5DmII Oh god accidental self-rate
