heh, I really want a 50mm 1.4, although if they're in shit condition there's not much point getting yours.
130 pounds for a eos 3 with battery grip is a good price, if it's in good condition though. I have a EOS 1N with PB-E2 booster (PB-e2 booster is same thing as grip for the eos 3), and i paid around 140 euro for that. But a EOS 1N is older and only has 5 af points, so an EOS 3 is worth more than it
sweet probably gonna go for it then
A EOS 3 is a great camera  Just get a good scanner for the film you have to scan or let a store do it (but not one that gives you 2 megapixel jpeg files on cd though, those suck)

Someone near me is selling an EOS-3 for $50. I've never used a SLR or DSLR but I've been wanting to get one for awhile, should I go for it?
Someone near me is selling an EOS-3 for $50. I've never used a SLR or DSLR but I've been wanting to get one for awhile, should I go for it?
That's dirt cheap. Just try it and see if you like it. If not sell it on ebay, and you'll even make profit out of it
those lenses are for CCTV cameras, they aren't even for 4/3 let alone APS-C
so I've been talking about getting more into photography for like... a little over a year now. maybe longer than that but measuring interest is kinda iffy. only today do I learn that both my mum and my grandma were into photography and know where their film cameras are. this is even after my "I wonder if I should get a film camera instead" phase. wth, family? but I guess it's okay because now I have a Mamiya 1000 DTL and a 55mm f1.8 lens. I'm really happy. xD
Solid camera, and a good portrait lens that's pretty fast. Nice job!
Snip, wrong thread. Related: I wasn't aware canon made a 1100D. Is it new?
Repalced the 1000D and was announced February Should i get this? http://chicago.craigslist.org/nwc/ele/2486994508.html Really really close by
$30, that's it? I say go for it. I know absolutely nothing of the camera, but as long as it works, for $30, how could you go wrong?
it looks ugly like a pentax, but in terms of "film cameras are super cheap," $30 is an ideal price. (the body isn't too durable). master plan: 1. everyone tell him to buy it. 2. I buy it instead. 3. irl trolling.

My brain is just like, "ugly tacky toy. blargh" In black it looks fine. Most DSLRs look the same to me, but then I see this guy I suddenly love it when everything looks the same. The color of a camera doesn't need to be a form of expression. And I can't find any examples of this, but I also hate when P&S cameras have a tacky sticker on the front saying 12.1MP, 12x OPTICAL ZOOM, etc. except they're not stickers. and they don't come off. The less my camera stands out, the better.

The white looks classy anyway. [editline]12th July 2011[/editline] Besides, you're leaving out the k-r and k-5, both very nice looking cameras:

And their whole line of film cameras.
The Japan-only limited editions came with a kit-lens like that. Same for some robot-boy edition. I should have said, "It looks like a white Pentax K-X," because that's what I meant. The rest are fine.

Second hand 400D w standard bundled lens for 3/4 price of 1100D or save up for 1100D?
i actually like how the white k-x looks
I saw a candy pink Pentax. Ugly as shit. Didn't they make a camera out of LEGOs too?
Didn't they make a camera out of LEGOs too?
If I possessed exorbitant sums of currency I would purchase that in a heartbeat.
1100D is terrible at video, you should wait for the 60D to fall in price.
The 60D won't be dropping in price anytime soon, unless you can grab one in a price war or get one used. The 60D is fairly new so the price won't be going down.
Can anyone recommend a camera which is similar to the Pentax ME Super - I'm an SLR beginner and people said that the ME Super would be a good one to start out with, but I can't seem to find a good deal anywhere, so are there any alternatives? Thanks
A Pentax MX.
Decided i was going to get the camera, and my parents denied me saying it was going to be too expensive in the long run, you don't appreciate your stuff etc. Least they still encourage digital photography
such encouraging parents.
I now have an assload of darkroom gear on the way to my house, you guys will be seeing a lot more of B&W film from me now.
