Doesn't sound like throat cancer or gravel or any other number of jokes people are attempting to make.

I was just watching batman begins again and realized with a few change arounds and a different perspective you could easily turn it into a horror movie with batman as the antagonist.
He wasn't bad in Public Enemy either.

wait....HE WAS THE SKINNY GUY IN THE MACHINIST?
holy shit. The make-ups did a great job I guess!
The Machinist obvs.
The Prestige and American Psycho are pretty amazing too though.

just look at it and listen to it, his entire performance is a fucking hyperbole.
Graphic novel =/= comic book
graphic novel = compilation of comic books = a big comic book
[editline]8th February 2011[/editline]
sure occasionally you get a graphic novel that wasn't originally distributed in monthly comic book form, but it's pretty god damned rare, and pretty much all superhero comic books are eventually composed into a graphic novel.
Batman Begins
The Dark Knight
[editline]8th February 2011[/editline]
he was fantastic as bruce wayne and fantastic as batman
i hate people who make fun of the raspy voice. it was good. it was understandable and it was cool.
batman begins was also not formulaic in the slightest. there has been no superhero action film like it beforehand. that is a shithouse opinion with no basis.
I agree completely.

I've read the Frank Miller Batman comics and they weren't anywhere near as ridiculous as some of the scenes in Begins.
where the frank miller batman comics "frank miller" style batman or "generic comic batman" style batman... if that makes sense?

That's crazy.
But no fucking way he's only 86kg in Begins. He looks at least 200lbs/90kg in that particular scene.
amazing, nobody mentioned 3:10 To Yuma
The Dark Knight.
The Machinist
Equilibrium
American Psycho
American Psycho or Harsh Times. He was fucking great in Harsh Times.
Its hard to pick because the Batman ones are probably the best but to me he's not really what makes them so great. If anything, oddly enough, he's sort of the low point in those movies to me, he overdoes the raspy voice.
I guess I'd have to vote The Prestige.
Best movie that he was in I'd think would be the Dark Knight. Movie he was best in I think the Prestige.
Also Rescue Dawn deserves a mention just because his character was awesome.

SWEAARR TO MEEEEEEEEe
I preferred Batman Begins to Dark Knight.
Bale was able to come through a lot better in the first than with the second.
The end scene of Batman Begins with the train is pure class.
American Psycho
Equilibrium
The Dark Knight
In that order.
equilibrium better than the dark knight? hold on i have to spew my guts out
The Machinist was his finest acting.
The story was great (not impeccable, that would be The Prestige), but his acting was incredible.
I would put it above Batman Begins, below The Prestige, and I'm split between the second highest for The Dark Knight.
Edit: I can't believe I forgot about American Psycho, that's easily above The Prestige.
The prestige was one of the few movies that caught me off guard with its twists and sometimes the suspense that came with them. at some points in the movie it seems like fuck anything could happen.
American Psycho and The Dark Night in my opinion.
The machinist, Definitely. The amount of work and heart he put into that movie just shows and choreographs into one of his best movies ever.

You're right about the movie but his voice was a little over the top. He could have toned it down a bit. I thought it was fine in Begins.
Equilibrium,
If you mean best movie overall he's simply been in, it's a tie between Dark Knight and The Prestige. If you mean best acting, then definitely the Prestige.

Lol.
There's nothing wrong with his performance in the Prestige but it's far from the best he's done.
Fuck, this is a difficult question. I don't think he's ever done shit in his acting capacity. I'd have to say either American Psycho because he had to get fucking built for that, or Equilibrium, simply because it's a fucking awesome film, not that the others he's been in aren't. He's just an insanely brilliant actor and one who's actually dedicated to each of his roles. OH GOOD FOR YOOOU
He was great in Rescue Dawn. Also, he was terrific in The Machinist. Either of those two, I'd have to say. But I have yet to see him in The Fighter and American Psycho.
