Mike matei made a really bad video awhile back on the Cinemassacre youtube channel and hes regretted it ever since. It's become a running gag in a few places elsewhere.

At first I was thinking to myself, "There's no way this is true", since I was raised in Taiwan for a large portion of my childhood life, and I remember living pretty well. But then I did the math, minimum wage is 120NT/$4 USD per hour. Assuming you work 40 hours a week, 160 hours a month, you'd make about $640. And that's assuming you're full time.
No wonder things were so cheap when I went there :frown: feels bad man.
