Awhile ago after 3 days of no sleep i was finally nodding off, thinking to myself how nothing else could possibly wrest me from imminent slumber. Had some video or music or something playing on a laptop on a corner of the bed. Suddenly, strange smell. Suddenly, a two meter long arc of sparks and fire fly through the fucking air emanating from my laptop charger cable. I wouldn't have thought it was possible for a human to launch themselves forward with such force from a dead sleeping position.
Didn't manage to fall asleep for another 6 hours and after unplugging all the random shit in the room out of paranoid sleep deprived insanity. Two days later there was an earthquake while i was falling asleep, i just assumed it was stress induced insanity till the next morning.

There were three different BB-8 props for TFA that had different uses. For scenes involving BB-8 rolling around, they had a rig that would just push a BB-8's body around, and they would digitally remove the rig and the operator. BB-8's head was attached to the rig, so by tilting the rig the operator would be able to control where the head was.

the hell are you guys talking about? I know the rigs were mainly used for shooting but there were several free-rolling BB-8 RC rigs. Hell, there are already dozens of amateur replicas out there. BB8 does work IRL

i know, it worked like ass on sand but they used a free-rolling bb8 for other scenes. in all those posts nobody seemed to know that there was actually a functional BB8
