This was the season finale? when will the next one come?
So completely undeserved. http://tvbythenumbers.zap2it.com/2011/05/07/fringe-finishes-season-on-a-down-ratings-note/91839 Fucking hell people, this show is so completely screwed next season.
Wait wait wait, wasn't it confirmed that they would shoot a season 4. I mean aren't they already shooting it now? Also, what does the ratings even mean? It went from 1.3 to 1.2, how bad is that?
1.3 to 1.2 million viewers. That's really not that many people watching a tv show. And yes, it's going to have a 4th season... mostly because the network execs are fans of the show and the fans themselves, hell, pretty much everyone pitched in to get it renewed... much like how the Chuck fans have managed to get their show renewed so many times.
Fox's news release announcing the pick-up of the show, about a war between an alternate universe and our own, certainly gave the fans plenty of credit. "The series' ingenious producers, amazingly talented cast and crew, as well as some of the most passionate and loyal fans on the planet, made this fourth-season pickup possible," said the network's entertainment president, Kevin Reilly.
http://articles.cnn.com/2011-03-28/entertainment/fringe.ratings.go_1_science-fiction-fans-licorice-low-ratings?_s=PM:SHOWBIZ
Thanks for clearing it up. Man, I'd die if they just left it hanging where it is now.
I'd fucking hang myself [editline]8th May 2011[/editline] Thats if stargate universe makes me do it first
I hate it when there is a really good show that doesn't get the attention it deserves and the story is just left hanging because it gets cancelled. It's happened to a lot of good shows and if it happened to Fringe, I don't what I'd do.

It will never be cancelled.
Like "Drive"
Glad to see I'm not the only one who remembers that show.
Awesome finale, near the end it looked like everything was tied up and then [sp]Peter vanished[/sp] Hope this show doesn't get cancelled.
I just hope they wrap everything up by season 4. At this point, getting a fifth season is just wishful thinking. Also, I really doubt they're [sp]getting rid of Peter, they'll probably bring him back somehow.[/sp] [editline]name[/editline]
hey, who played olivia's niece in the finale?
Emily Meade.
so does Henry [sp] not exist if Peter never existed? [/sp]
so does Henry [sp] not exist if Peter never existed? [/sp]
[sp]If Peter is really gone then yes, though I doubt they will really kill Peter off. [/sp]
[sp] it doesn't really make sense though because if Peter never existed then would Walter would have never gone into the alternate universe to get Peter, and as such the alternate universe wouldn't have started tearing apart, and so Walternate wouldn't have been trying to get Peter back and get revenge and basically none of it would have happened [/sp]
Don't question the observers. [editline]8th May 2011[/editline] He dosn't exist; he served his purpose.
Well, it may be that the [sp]two universes would have inevitably collided even without Walter's influence[/sp]. Remember, [sp]Walter & Bell theorized that there was an alternate universe long before Walter actually traveled to it to get Peter.[/sp] I think we can imagine that [sp]Walter & Bell would have eventually tried to cross over even if Peter had never existed.[/sp] They are explorers of the world --- I think it would have been too hard for them to resist.
Stop theorising and just wait until next season.
it's too hard not to theorize! i can't stop myself
Well, Fringe survived Fox's chopping block: it's been renewed after several other Fox shows were canceled: http://latimesblogs.latimes.com/showtracker/2011/05/fox-renews-fringe-but-cancels-chicago-code-human-target-and-more.html?cid=6a00d8341c630a53ef0154323c9944970c
I just wanted to pop in and say that was the coolest finale in Fringe yet!

A common enemy? I wonder if that's really it. And if so, who, or what is it? Next season is gonna be totally awesome.
http://www.godlikeproductions.com/forum1/message1480197/pg1 Quite an interesting read on the end of Season 3.
but what about Peter's baby?

When the Observer talks about Ripple causing Obvious Consequences and Unforeseen, (same old same old, skip to Fringe at 0:20) I have to wonder if G-man is alternately, one of them. They both have the time and space bending in common. But back on Fringe, if that Observer was only referencing Peter vanishing into nothing at that point, or if something even bigger is going to go down, since the collision.
Returns in less than a week!(Sept 23 9/8c) Also, I think a mod should edit the thread title to mention that there's huge S3 spoilers and such now.
Just finished season 3. Really love this show. The monster of the week episodes aren't all that exciting, but the rest is awesome.
I WANT IT NOW
This wait is UNBEARABLE
