Also, what does the ratings even mean? It went from 1.3 to 1.2, how bad is that?
1.3 to 1.2 million viewers.
That's really not that many people watching a tv show.
And yes, it's going to have a 4th season... mostly because the network execs are fans of the show and the fans themselves, hell, pretty much everyone pitched in to get it renewed... much like how the Chuck fans have managed to get their show renewed so many times.

I hate it when there is a really good show that doesn't get the attention it deserves and the story is just left hanging because it gets cancelled. It's happened to a lot of good shows and if it happened to Fringe, I don't what I'd do.

It's okay. The creators of Fringe had the foresight to get every executive in Fox hooked on it. It will never be cancelled.

Well, it may be that the [sp]two universes would have inevitably collided even without Walter's influence[/sp]. Remember, [sp]Walter & Bell theorized that there was an alternate universe long before Walter actually traveled to it to get Peter.[/sp] I think we can imagine that [sp]Walter & Bell would have eventually tried to cross over even if Peter had never existed.[/sp] They are explorers of the world --- I think it would have been too hard for them to resist.

I have to wonder if G-man is alternately, one of them. They both have the time and space bending in common. But back on Fringe, if that Observer was only referencing Peter vanishing into nothing at that point, or if something even bigger is going to go down, since the collision.

Just finished season 3. Really love this show. The monster of the week episodes aren't all that exciting, but the rest is awesome.
