That was a god damned cool ep. But, what the hell are they doing introducing a new arc when they have the threat of cancellation looming over them? I hope they know what they're doing.
I don't think it's a new arc as such, just a new element to the [sp]David Robert Jones[/sp] arc.
meta arc [editline]1st April 2012[/editline] lol, I was curious was the final episode while the wiki page was loading, "lol is it called endgame" guess what, the season finale is called endgame. Probably won't finish everything, but I think well get some good stuff.
In the end scene [sp]with all the cages - it was cool to see some of the creatures from previous seasons. Notably the large worm from Snakehead and the hybrid from Unleashed.[/sp] Cool episode, really hope the show doesn't get cancelled - it's really back in it's prime.
Welp. [sp]RIP bLincoln[/sp] What a shame, we barely get any action from the the Otherside and when we finally do, [sp]they kill someone off.[/sp]
That was a great episode. [sp]Pity about alt-Lincoln though. I always really liked his character[/sp]
Poor [sp]AltLincoln... Seriously Lincolns get no love in the Fringe series...[/sp]
Nothing says badass like a giant flying bat Mantis ftw
Also I have noticed that the Soviet Union still exists in the alternate universe. Considering how it is advertised in the USA, I'd say that they have toned the communism down, perhaps even abandoned it. Perhaps the August 1991 coup didn't happen, so USSR may have survived (though without Latvia, Lithuania, Estonia, and Georgia). Oh how I love overanalyzing things.
I also noticed an USSR poster.
Scratch that, GF dumped me and won't be watching Fringe. Oh well, she missed out on a great show. I have to get season 3 and 4 some time... I gotta catch up before season 5 if they get renewed for it.
Does anyone have a screencap of the USSR poster? I never even noticed it.
Does anyone have a screencap of the USSR poster? I never even noticed it.
It's at the very beginning on the episode.

I've spent the last 3 days watching Fringe season one trough three(Currently at the start of three) and tension is killing me! Also, [sp]evil Olivia[/sp] can go die in a ditch.
Thank god[sp]Fauxlivia[/sp]isn't that awful later on. [editline]awd[/editline] Very very minor spoiler I guess.
I like Bolivia more than Olivia, to be honest.
I can see why people prefer Bolivia - but I prefer Olivia myself.
I liked Olivia most in Season 3, now she is too busy being emo over Peter.

It has to get renewed now winning these shits
I don't understand how the viewer counts are so low when there's obviously a huge fan base following Fringe. Is it to do with the Friday 'death' slot and the fact that most viewers tape the show to watch at a later time?

Or is that like Warner Bros or Bad Robot that gets a share of those earnings?
That was a fantastic episode. I WANT MORE BOLIVIA AND WALTER INTERACTIONS also HOLY FUCK at next week's episode.

I mean, you can't have your TV and set top box all shut off and somehow still record it - they'd have to be turned on and tuned in and registered as another viewer of the program, right?
Next week's episode looks bitchin'.
My new show if Alcatraz is cancelled.
Exclusive: Fox is close to renewing Fringe for a fifth and final season, TVWise has learned. For the past couple of months, Fox has been having discussions with Warner Bros. Television about the future of the low rated series. Sources familiar with said discussions tell me that, while there are still a few points that need ironing out, a deal for a fifth and final season of 13 episodes is expected to be reached within the next few weeks. I’m told that one issue that has been resolved is the length of this fifth and final season; with WB initially pushing for a full season of 22 episodes, while Fox expressed that they would be more comfortable with a “limited episode order” of 7 – 13 episodes, which would get the show close to or past the 100 episode mark required for syndication. Another issue that has been widely reported on is Fox’s licensing fee for the series. I’m told that WB has offered Fox “a substantially lower” fee for the fifth season. As such, insiders tell me that they expect Fox to announce the renewal of Fringe for a fifth and final season of 13 episodes in the coming weeks. This news will come as a relief to fans of the series, which has had a hard time in the ratings for its last two seasons. The latest episode of the sci-fi series attracted a mere 3 million viewers and a 1.0 rating in the 18-49 demographic in live+same day. With those numbers, most shows would be looking at certain cancellation, but the amount of money Warner Bros. stands to make from off-network syndication deals is the driving force behind the series’ future. The only real question that still needs to be answered is will we see an announcement before the network’s upfront presentation in May?
Source [editline]14th April 2012[/editline] Also:
RAYMOND GORDON: (steadfast) ...meanwhile, we go through our lives unaware. The enemy is among us and nobody's doing anything about it. We don't have any idea the end is coming. So we had to take matters into our own hands. We had to send them a message. BROYLES: What was in the briefcase? RAYMOND GORDON: They told you I was crazy, didn't they? The Pentagon. They said I'd had a psychiatric break. I told them what I'm telling you. That they are here. Collecting data. Making observations. That's what's in the briefcase. They've been planning for war. And they've been passing the information via courier right under our noses. (as the interview continues, a young man in a long dark coat walks into a diner and delivers a briefcase to a seated man, then leaves) BROYLES: Who are 'they'? RAYMOND GORDON: We don't know who they are. But I can tell you what they want. They want to exterminate us. (the man seated in the diner pours an entire container of black pepper over his roast beef and jalapeno sandwich, then opens the briefcase he received from the courier) RAYMOND GORDON: So they're studying us... our culture, our technology, our science... and they plan to use it against us. One way or another. We'll find out who they are. But by then, I suppose it won't really matter. (The Observer pulls images out of the briefcase. High-tech surveillance images of one Walter Bishop) RAYMOND GORDON: Because whatever's in those cases is gonna destroy us all.
