I suppose that the ending if S04 were the final would've involved Olivia [sp]dying permanently[/sp].
Don't think so. [sp]They would've cut the pregnancy though. One thing for sure, she lives for at least 9 months.[/sp]
I wanna see their alternate ending then
They didn't make or even fully concept the alternate ending as far as I've heard. Also thought this was kind of a weak finale, all the special effects were kind of lackluster cg, feels like they spent all their budget in the earlier part of the season because those had some much better effects. The ending was FAR too mushy and typical for my taste, really cheapened the show for me.

Awesoomeee!
Well, fuck you fox. You ruin so many great shows. It's nice to see fringe is barely hanging on though.
Chuck was another great show that kept having massive funding issue to the point that the Subway advertising could take up a 15th of a show's time sometime (admitttedly it was really well done and funny.) They could've cancelled at 4 seasons but they decided to grant them 13 episodes to wrap up, seems that's just the norm for shitty shows (as in, shitty for viewership aka making money).
I love that they're making a shorter final season... it'll hopefully force them to focus on the story instead of monster of week stuff.

Awesome.
After [sp]Bell shot Olivia in the head and she regenerated, I was expecting sudden memory loss.[/sp] I had a feeling that they were going to pull something on us, but I'm genuinely surprised it was mostly a positive outcome.
This was the actress who played the new head of St. Claires: Samantha N. [editline]13th May 2012[/editline] Also, some Real Derpina

But, great collection of gifs.
I love that they're making a shorter final season... it'll hopefully force them to focus on the story instead of monster of week stuff.
Honestly speaking, I enjoyed some of the monster stuff they came up with. While having a plot behind it of course, and the other Cortexiphan kids growing up, and limited by their powers. Random investigations linked back to Olivia and test trials. Then trials of William Bells experiments on humans to make them into something better.. etc etc. Maybe it was just me.
Now that I think about it, there were some pretty significant plotholes in the episode. [sp]If Bell wasn't planning on having humans in the new universe, then why was he experimenting on humans to make the flying hybrids?[/sp] [sp]Why can't Olivia see the other side? She's high on Cortexiphan and we know she can see things on/from the other side as a shimmer.[/sp] [sp]Why can Peter see it? He's manifested a sudden plot-induced ability to see the other side; he's never seen it before, and if we accept the explanation given to us -- that because he's from the other side, he can see it -- then why the bloody hell can he see our side? It doesn't make any sense to do that. I can understand they wanted to have Peter and Olivia to get to the ship together, but they could've done the same thing with Olivia's powers alone.[/sp]

Didn't they say that if they were to end on this episode there would only be like one plot hole? And I thought somebody said they were answering a lot of stuff from Season 1. There still seems like too much stuff not explained. Why was Broyles kissing Nina? What's up with pale observer kid. What is the real reason behind the pattern.
there's still hope for season 5
There already is a confirmed season 5, I just hope they resolve stuff form season 1 etc
i meant that they there is hope that season 5 will answer questions
Oh right yeah ha fingers crossed

the people writing fringe are even worse than the people who wrote lost at making things make sense.
Yeah, I hate the whole alternate timeline shit Fringe has going on right now. It needlessly complicates things and doesn't do any good for the show
Here is a solution: The bridge is broken and they cant turn the machine back on.
Why can't they turn it on? Why can't they travel the same way as before the machine was assembled?
Why can't they turn it on? Why can't they travel the same way as before the machine was assembled?
Traveling without the bridge is what started destroying the alternate universe in the first place. Now that it is finally healing, I doubt they would want to travel the old way and start the destruction again. And they could turn the bridge on, but there is no guarantee it would even work.
