my programming class was filled with these kind of people, and nerds with fedoras. i dont know how you do it mang
Fedoras. Trenchcoats. Rat-tails. Fuzzy Jayne (Firefly) caps. Constant meme references. Beer guts, man boobs, neckbeards. At least one or two people per class have a 2-liter bottle of Mountain Dew for a single day's worth of drink. I love my program but I hate most of the people in it. Before I came to this school I thought nerd stereotypes were exaggerations by the media, that these sorts of people don't really exist. I was so utterly wrong, and now I live in the goddamn nexus of everything that's wrong with gaming.

One vending machine had an issue where it dispensed nothing but Mountain Dew, no matter what drink was chosen. It was a week and a half before anyone noticed.
Birch beer is superior soda. No caffeine, no brominated veg oil, no crap.
Birch beer is superior soda. I honestly love those cheap-ass Mexican sodas. I found one at a Mexican market called Salvavitas, it's like carbonated grape kool-aid. Fucking great.
TOO MANY PUPPIEEEEEEEEEEEEEEESSSSSSS ARE BEING SHOT IN THE DARK
I hate drinking soda. Shit is just bad for ya.
I hate drinking soda. Shit is just bad for ya.
Near-death situations all day every day don't give a fuck.
My middle school (that had no soda in vending machines) was really close to a super market. The market stocked all kinds of weird soda, but the one that everyone really caught on to and was made my year's unofficial drink was
I hate drinking soda. Shit is just bad for ya.
And that's why you smoked a bunch of cigars at Merida? :smug:
And that's why you smoked a bunch of cigars at Merida? :smug:
I stopped smoking awhile ago too. I have touched a cig/cigar in over 4 months.
someone buy one and ship it to me, i just want one to say i've had it
I used to drink these all the time. It's pretty much strawberry sugar water. "A TASTE WORTH STANDING IN LINE FOR"
I used to drink these all the time. It's pretty much strawberry sugar water. "A TASTE WORTH STANDING IN LINE FOR"
Just because it is "strawberry sugar water" doesn't mean it's bad. I actually prefer it over 'brand name' soda aside from dr.pepper and pepsi.
i've always been meaning to ask, what are you taking and where?
Game Design & Development at Rochester Institute of Technology. As much as I love playing games, I don't want to make them. It's a shitty industry, and that means that all the other people in the major are there because they love games so very much they're willing to deal with low pay, incredibly long hours, and frequent layoffs just so they can make the next Skyrim/Mass Effect/CoD/etc. It means that the people in my program are very much diehard gamers, and the vast majority of them wholeheartedly subscribe to that subculture. What I want to do is work for the government, making simulation software for the armed forces- stuff like Full Spectrum Warrior or flight simulators. I'm a gamer, but I don't live and breathe videogames, and I guess that puts me at odds with a lot of the people I work with.

No one listens because Cowwadooty. In reality though, making CoD must be pretty easy, being that it's just recycled content from CoD4 and afterward now, anyway.
I like cream soda Virgil's Cream Soda to be exact; but I usually drink tea
Cream soda is delicious.

No one listens because Cowwadooty.
It's not even that the work itself is hard- everyone has a very specialized role, so really you're an artist or a writer or a programmer or a modeler and no individual role is more demanding than its equivalent in other fields. What it is is that you're liable to be fired when the game is done unless it's a massive hit, you're expected to work very long hours to meet crunch requirements, and if you decide you have a problem with how you're being treated there are three people with their faces pressed up against the glass of your office just waiting to take your job. For the programming-type jobs, it's essentially glorified computer science that doesn't pay nearly as well. People only go into game design because they either love it so much they're willing to accept the shortcomings, or they are hopelessly uninformed about how the industry really works.
I usually don't drink soda, but I do on occasion. Basic tap water is all I need.
Even from a young age I knew game design was a really shitty career path. That's why I never considered it.
I like cream soda Virgil's Cream Soda to be exact; but I usually drink tea
I drink a buttload of tea and coffee too, fuck buying premade flavored blends, I buy it all fresh and process it myself. Pretty neat stuff.
Lol my Romanian friend is creeping on all the 15 year old Japanese exchange students in my school and adding them all on Facebook. I wish I could be as much of a player as him :v:

I wish I could be as much of a player as him :v:
Haha, that reminds me of talking to my friend's friend yesterday. We were looking for someone to chill so I just went through his contacts and texted everyone he told me to. I eventually had to leave so I said to this chick I was talking to and getting along with pretty well "Yo, so I have to go home now. Can I take your number so we can talk more? You seem pretty chill." Just that got her all fired up. She replied "Sorry, I don't want you to have my number. You're like, three years older than me, I don't even know you, and stop calling me 'nigga'." Bitches be bipolar :v:
I don't mind sodas, but I almost always prefer juice or Arizona Iced Tea. Real sugar Coke and Dr. Pepper get me most every time though, so oh well. I really wish there were more juice vending machines for juices instead of it being a dollar for a small can sized bottle, when its like $3 for a gallon of apple juice.
Gibe Leninade. Will bring to school and drink in front of a chum named Ivan. I wonder how he'd react.( is really rossian)

Ever had the peach Arnold Palmer? Pretty great stuff yo.
