look
its simpleboo
a chinook flew overhead once
but i was in dc
ayer force 1
When I was in DC, two fighters, probably f-18s, did a low pass at Im guesing <1000 feet over the park I was in, with afterburners on. It was fucking incredible. Everything was shaking, you couldnt hear anything but the roar of the jets. We saw them on the horizon as just two specks with a faint rumble, and then a second later they were right over us and it felt / sounded like the earth was collapsing. Fucking amazing.
I saw the Air Force One landing like few-ty kilometers away. It's fucking huge. Also saw some pavelows.
It was the day when Bush visited Poland.
I was going to buy an A&K LR 300 this Friday, had it all set up but I had to back out. Turns out my Mom may quit her job so I'm putting money back. I figure if everything turns out better than expected I can spend a ton of money overnight but it takes weeks to gather it up when I really need it.
I also got my tax return which was immediately going to be spent on the TM XDm I've wanted but now I'm going to hold off. I just need to buy goggles and I'll have the bare basics for Operation Blacksheep anyway but we'll see how things pan out.
what do you guys do when you're feeling incredibly depressed/emotional?
i play tribes and just ski around for about an hour listening to music

i could make you happy ;)
The one time I went to Singapore, I learnt that every two weeks for two months leading up to their National Day on Sundays they rehearse the whole ceremony. Complete with parade, artillery gun salutes, helicopters, low flying jets that passed right over my head at probably less than 1000 feet and the whole fireworks show. I feel kinda lucky to have seen it and not have the problem of living there since they close all the main roads in the city.
Back when I lived in Jersey though (good old Channel Island Jersey) every Battle of Britain Day they'd put on a whole air show with the old warbirds and the newer jets and the Red Arrows would cap it all off. I wonder how busy they are on this particular day.

I saw Obongo's helicopter land on the white house lawn.
tornado gr4's and occasionally a single eurofighter typhoon will fly over my house usually in pairs
chinooks and more often sea kings fly over my house and there is a local airstrip nearby so i get cessnas and stuff as well
c130's fly near to my house but they use a slightly different flight path from the helis and jets for some reason
i saw an osprey a few kms off from the wite haus
[QUOTE=ossumsauce;35521275]I have concluded that i have the best friends ever.
A friend of mine that's in the Air Force, who can draw really well and loves Portal as much as i do, drew this at my request for a Russian Army Chell.

I cut myself while listening to Attack Attack and smoking weed from a soda can because I'm edgy and nobody understands me. I usually go for a walk or something.

I'd assume this was a joke if it were anyone else but I honestly can't tell if you're serious or not.

The walk part is true.
After going out in the woods for 2 days and doing nothing but hard work I got home to eat some chicken and I had this glass bowl with some ketchup in it. I dropped it and it shattered EVERYWHERE, there was glass all around me and somehow under my feet but not a single cut on me, my mother flipped out though because she saw ketchup everywhere and thought it was blood.
The British Army, a bunch of other Commonwealth countries and sometimes the USMC or US Army always do live fire exercises at the army base outside of my city. So I can sometimes see Harriers, F-15s and A-10s flying over. I've also seen paratroopers jumping out of a C-130 and at one point something really loud and fast flew over that may have been a Eurofighter.
[editline]11th April 2012[/editline]
And at our local fair in the summer the British Army always has a bunch of armored vehicles and Land Rovers on display.
AND YOU KNOW AND I KNOW THAT YOU AIN'T GOT LONG NOW TO LAAAAAAST!
And while we are speaking about aircraft flying over, I keep seeing blackhawks flying around where I live, I also saw an apache and 3 harriers last week.
One time in PE, a pair of Super Hornets flew in right over our goalposts/football field. They couldn't have been more than 500 ft. off the ground. It was pretty cool lolol. Also when I was in elementary school, a finger-four formation of F-15s did a flyby-ish thing during lunch, followed by two formations of four F-16s each. Must have been some base relocating or something.
Also, this one time when I used to play soccer as a kid, during a tournament match, these two P-51 Mustangs were making zooming passes in formation, and it was really cool to watch. My friends and I spent the rest of the game watching the mustangs, and we lost :v:
Okay.
Sent postcards to Cardfan, Ossumsauce, and Fish Muffins. Two more available (I'll most likely send one to Code if nobody claims them. Or Code can claim one himself lol)
We get Black Hawk, Pave Low, and Chinook fly-bys all the time because i live right next to Quantico. But when i was in elementary school a dual flight of F-15s flew over randomly, MAYBE 700 ft. off the deck, and we weren't even close to a base. I ran backwards into a tree in an attempt to watch them fly away, lol.
come to find out jomt and i are twins separated at birth except he was stolen away to sweden
HVA is near Stewart AFB, and C130's are constantly flying around and circling the field, so we asked my brother's friend's dad who works there as a commander or whatever and apparently they love the field because apparently it actually does look like a tiny village the way the buildings are so they use us as training exercises because airsofters are holding guns and shit so it looks semi-real from the air :V
we were wondering this exact thing one day so we were surprised when we found out
