Huh. All the more reason to get a Mosin Nagat instead for my first rifle.
I wouldn't say that. The SKS is a fine rifle, there are just some lemons amongst them. The Mosin is not a good first rifle for anyone, it fires a heavy round that will teach you bad habits that take a lot of time and effort to undo, and the surplus ammo for it is starting to dry up. A good first rifle would be a .22 rifle or 9mm carbine, or a .223 (like an AR-15) if you really want a military rifle. Literally the only good thing about the Mosin is that it's cheap, it's much better as a wall-hanger than a weapon to go shooting with.
hmm, vfc ak up to $450 and I may add my 6b5 for it hng I've been saving up for something like this for awhile but it hurts
Mine's tomorrow. :c [editline]1st June 2012[/editline] except this time its forever
Same, unless I can convince the director at my new school to start a jazz band. :c
First day at my first job in a bit over an hour. Nervous as fuck
I love shooting my Mosin, mine was made in 1943 and you can get 440 rd spam cans of surplus ammunition for $70-$90, although it's the old surplus corrosive stuff. And if my research is correct the SKS when it slamfires it's because of cosmoline/gunk and shit in the bolt that makes the firing pin stick. I think they make spring-loaded pins that keep the pin back when it's supposed to be back, eliminating the slamfire problem. Im excited to grab an SKS, although i'm leaning towards the Yugo (I'd get the Russian if I found a decent condition cheaper one), but it's between Norinco and Yugo manufacture. Any opinions?
hmm, vfc ak up to $450 and I may add my 6b5 for it hng I've been saving up for something like this for awhile but it hurts
Why not LCT with some internal upgrades? Or maybe even a dboys with some new internals? Seems like they would have comparable performance for a lot cheaper.
Why not LCT with some internal upgrades? Or maybe even a dboys with some new internals? Seems like they would have comparable performance for a lot cheaper.
well, LCT is damn near impossible to get in Commiefornia (wgcshop refuses to sent here, and AAOk actually needs to order directly from LCT which doesn't have an ETA and takes 1 month+ and afaik dboys and cyma make good guns too but really, it's hit and miss; at this point I just want something that I can run for a good amount of time without ~pimping~ the internals or externals

I'm glad the system works.
WASHINGTON (AP) -- They were christened the “children of Browning and Costa” by one American newspaper last year and dismissed by many political insiders as lunatics and brown-people-killers. Now, eight months later, OPERATORs are represented in Congress, and are polling nationally at 99 percent. The small, upstart party known as the PBE Party has the political establishment sitting up and taking notice, particularly when they attend assemblies by fastrope insertion via Blackhawk holding station over the capitol rotunda. Analysts attribute PBE's success, in part, to many voters’ feelings of alienation from stagnant, traditional American politics. “The party is something that allows the general sheepdog public to essentially duracoat their politics,” said Richard Hewitt, after a 45-50 minute rant about Glocks and giving this reporter the general impression he was having a seizure. Often criticized for lacking detailed policies and often traveling abroad on trips of vague priority which its members only comment on with the phrase 'op-sec,' the party, created in 2006, has won the hearts and minds of the American people. The Party refuses to reveal the details of its national agenda beyond taking a stand in defense of the Constitutional right to private ownership of firearms, and one of their few foreign policy proposals is the funding of a similarly-named PMC for a vigorous anti-piracy campaign. Its key issues are the legalization of fully-automatic weapons, the purchase of WWII-era Garands from South Korean storage and banning the customization of historical firearms by unlicensed personnel. Analysts say the party’s lack of “proper” decorum matches its lack of policy, but that its high-speed, low-drag image is what attracts ex-military voters and supporters of the Constitution, among others. The dress code at a recent meeting of PBE lawmakers at Washington D.C. seemed like a commercial for Blackhawk! and 5.11 Tactical clothing, with the impressive variety, yet uniform look, of khaki and black apparel. “A lot of their popularity is based on mass effect,” said Mr. H. Maniac, though what he meant was vague as fuck.
This is really interesting to watch. Especially the weird shit like the Tiny Afghan Soldier who can't kick in doors and the little foul-mouthed 20-year old midget manchild and his 90 year old Father.

DXM is fucking nuts. It's the drug that's released by your body seconds before you die.
I also think kawaii is lying because DXM permanently alters your state of mind
Only if you continue to take them.

[editline]2nd June 2012[/editline]
I also think kawaii is lying because DXM permanently alters your state of mind
It does not, unless you use it more than once every few weeks, then the constant strain on your brain can cause some damage.
