also so much of what happens in the film never happened
its mel gibson, he makes erryone wanna die but i still liked da movie
Memphis Belle offended me because they got all the crew names on the bomber wrong.
Pearl Harbor offended me because they used late-model P-40s, late-model B-25s, and the Japanese planes bombed Perry-class and Ticonderoga-class frigates.
Flyboys offended me because the Red Baron got shot down by Nieuport 17s every fifteen seconds.
Red Tails offended me because they entirely skipped the process in which the Tuskegee Airmen transitioned from P-40s to P-47s.
Under Siege offended me because Steven Seagal called an MP5 an assault rifle.
Air Force One offended me because they were using high-caliber rifle rounds within the confines of a jet airliner.
The Avengers offended me because Dornier Alpha Jets cannot have taken off from that short of a flight deck.
Up offended me because you just don't let fucking dogs fly Curtiss Sparrowhawks off dirigibles.

also Saving Private Ryan offended me because NCO's didn't really wield thompsons
All the other kids with the pumped up kicks...
Fuckin hate that song
I shoot you first
My dad was scottish he liked it, im half scottish.
You know its not talking about current scotland right?
Its based off the real william wallace, i dont get how thats offensive.
Except they got the entire time period wrong. William Wallace was from the late 1200s/early 1300s, in the film they portray them as being from the 1000-1100s, not to mention they made all the Scots Celts, who were p. much annihilated in the 600s
Now that's an interesting rifle.

It's like a lever gun... but with a bolt instead.
also Saving Private Ryan offended me because NCO's didn't really wield thompsons
Yes they did. NCOs were permitted to trade in their Garand for a Thompson or M1 Carbine if they wished.
Also it was very common for NCOs to be issued a Thompson or Carbine from the start in the Airborne due to the need for greater firepower in a smaller package
I've always wondered about that. For instance how it's always been revealed that most special forces have a variety of guns at their disposal and there's never really any sort of default go to gun.
I mean is it possible for your average joe foot soldier to request a different optic for his weapon or personally use after market parts he's purchased himself?
I think soldiers are permitted to purchase their own optics and little things like VFGs. Other than that I think they're stuck with what they've got. Up until recently they were allowed to purchase their own magazines too, but some greedy fuck with deep pockets went to congress and whined about that, so now they're required to use the shitty aluminum GI mags
Kevin Costner didn't even try an accent in Robin Hood. All these english accents then Robin Hood is american =|
The Avengers offended me because Dornier Alpha Jets cannot have taken off from that short of a flight deck.
The Avengers also featured a self cloaking flying aircraft carrier, but hey the flight deck was too short.
Saw that Abraham Lincoln vampire slayer movie last night. It was alright and had its badass moments. Just one thing I didn't like about it was it had so many useless slow motion scenes during the fights.
historically inaccurate terrible mov
The Avengers also featured a self cloaking flying aircraft carrier, but hey the flight deck was too short.
It also featured a Super Soldier made in WW2, A man who has been exposed to massive amounts of gamma radiation and turned into a bulky green monster of a man when he got angry, a man who built a fusion reactor to keep a shard of frag from killing him and a God from norse mythology. Oh yea, and an alien invasion headed by another norse god. But hey, the flight deck was too short

Maybe Cafepress?
The high for today is supposed to be over 100 degrees. I can't stand it. Why, Illinois, why?!?
dude, that's like heat that could kill someone.
i mean 80 is already bad enough, i like to stay around the freezing temperature.
Abraham Lincoln vampire slayer is the worst thing to happen to Abraham Lincoln in a theater.
Last summer, I had band camp when it was reaching highs of 120. I'm telling you, Al Gore was on to something. [sp]/sarcasm[/sp]
Ok, who's the wise guy that gave me the big eye emoticon title? :v:
Ok, who's the wise guy that gave me the big eye emoticon title? :v:
