They've been relatively active in France ever since gay marriage was legalized, so every so often I get to hear about them on the news. They're nothing more than a passing mention, and they're considered thugs who disrupt events/protests just like looters disrupt events/protests.
The people getting violent does not expose twisted morals because the same thing happens every time they do this, and the population widely varies. When they attacked people at the anti gay marriage protests a while back, it was a bunch of old men and women slapping them and shoving them around.
Some people are easier to get angry than others regardless of their morals, political beliefs or religious beliefs. FEMEN's goal in these protests is to try and utilize this native, inherent aggressiveness some people have to associate it with an entire culture or system of beliefs.

Well, at least they're attacking the right people for once.

Well, if they are for gender equality, being women shouldn't be an argument against hitting them.
Women's rights. The idea for them in particular is that the only thing people pay attention to is breasts, so that's how they get attention.
They do some really good stuff, actually. whether it be supporting abortions or hating on shariah law, or simply gender inequality. Make no mistake, they aren't "radical".
aight so flashing an entire crowd and interrupting a convention isn't radical

I think one of the points of showing breasts is to show the hypocrisy of people, i.e. men can go shirtless but when a woman does it everybody loses their shit and considers it 'flashing'.

Their website used to have a lady holding a bloody ballsack.
They're not that subtle.
Wouldn't it be hilarious if everyone just stayed down and listened to them? Waiting for them to finish saying what they want to say? They have to leave eventually and then everyone's like "Anyway, where was i..."
I just feel like they're hoping to be pulled away while they can scream.

You are underestimating a zealots ability to spew nonsense for long periods of time.
You might have to wait a looong time.
