I'm in the backyard with the two chairs. clicking the right one gives me a gun, and clicking on an empty space next to the second chair plays the clip of the four chairs all lined up where the last one falls over, then i can click to return to the two chairs screen. but there's no way back from the two chairs, no option to return to the rest of the yard

I think the personality disorder/murder as opposed to suicide is more likely.
I don't think shes "hanging" from the tree when shes blurred, I think she is just standing near the grass/sidewalk.
The dude that is freaking out is also in handcuffs which would seem to suggest he didnt just kill himself but did something much worse. That on top of the fact the officer is taking notes while looking at him makes me think he isnt just a ghost.

Maybe the fingers change in time. but currently, i'm out of ideas.
The way I'm seeing it is that, as a result of the side effects of claridryl addiction, she slaughtered her family and went on to kill herself or be killed by the cops, OR she was killed by the cops wrongly and we're not seeing the entire story in the video. The ad follows her ghost trying to piece together exactly what happened to her.
In fact, I think I like the "she got killed by somebody" hypothesis quite a bit, because I think it explains the several changes of clothing she goes through. I think the "she killed everyone" hypothesis is more likely, though.
Also, the handcuffed guy at the crime scene-- his first line or two sounds like "what are you doing to me? why won't you listen to me?" I think that crying officer killed him and he's trying to tell them what happened but they can't hear him because he isn't there. I feel like that detective isn't taking notes on him, but the crime scene itself, because the detective is looking past him. And when he turns and screams at her, in the part where the people are carrying out the things in bags, he says something along the lines of "driving away from me"-- maybe he knows they're both dead and he's trying to get her attention? And at about 2:25, somebody runs past the detectives and he's nowhere to be found before or afterwards.
I don't know, I've got a lot of speculation at this point.

Weenies, I played the whole thing through without getting spooked.
What I've found is, you can click on the dining room window to play a video and teleport upstairs, click on the master bedroom mirror to teleport to the playhouse outside (you can't get there any other way afaik), and click on the window in the basement bedroom to teleport directly outside of the grate. You can pick up the present and bury it in the backyard, and scratch over the pictureframes. That's all of the interactivity I know of, but after about 20 minutes of playing the sound completely stopped. No music or gunshots. Not sure what that was about.
