Every time I hear Bro army or bro fist I keep thinking about that cut scene for Tiberium sun.
NO! DON'T EVEN JOKE! GET THE FUCK OUT.
Oh and if you look for some youtubber who plays horror game like Pewdiepie, check Cry Plays.
I really like Cry's lets plays but since he played with Pewdiepie a year ago, all of his fans are now also Pewdiepie fans. Cry has one of the worst fanbases, which is a shame because he's really a good youtuber. I honestly can't look at his comments section without grimacing because of all the fangirls who tell him to show his face or tell him to marry them or whatever. It's honestly disgusting. [editline]15th September 2013[/editline] He also hates his fanbase though, which is awesome. He made an entire video telling them off.
his fans are the worst I was laughing uncontrollably at that horrible distorted voice though
Sad, my friend criticizes me for hating Pewdiepie I really do think he is a talentless hack who uses his fans for money for his 'charity' oh yeah my friend always brings up the 'charity' as a defense

Frankly, Cry's fanbase is a lot kinder in a sense. They're pretty constructive and supportive. PDP's fanbase only hive to a video because PDP commented on it. Literally 70% of the comment field turned into replies to his saying variations of "hi pewds!!!!", "brofist!!!!", or "you should play X!!!!!!".
Honestly, I think PewDiePie is a fucking genius. Somehow someway he manages to stay relevant and fresh in the Youtube community and markets his content so well that he makes money. He lives by doing this and nothing else, he doesn't work at all. Sure, the people who watch his videos and love him will never realize that he is practically using his fanbase to live but that's what makes him smarter than the average LP'er. Keep in mind this is only my opinion.
I've watched a few of pewdiepie's let's play and it really difficult to get into them, I've only ever managed to watch 2 whole videos. I don't find him that amazing. A few days ago though, I went to the toilet and I could hear my 11 year old sister laughing her ass off at him. Explains everything.
yes because we needed to know about you taking a shit

Before we had vlogs and viral video reviews, now we have people shrieking while playing horror games. If he's smart he'll adapt to whatever's trendiest after yelling rape jokes at the camera while pretending to be scared but I doubt he will. As his channel went and as he got more subscribers he just straight up stopped being decent and stopped giving a shit, instead catering to whatever his audience found funny. By now he pretty much has a full catalog of stupid shit to say and he will always repeat the same stuff in all of his videos, so when people stop finding that funny, he'll just lose a lot of worth.

Are you saying it isn't actually charity because it's done by pewdiepie? If so, that is the stupidest fucking logic I have ever seen. Wooh! Apparently remotely supporting pewdiepie gets you barraged in boxes, stay classy, Facepunch.

He's just very very good at acting like one. He seems like a smart (and from what I've heard, dickish) guy who realized how to please infinite swarms of morons and ride them all the way to the bank. He's like the TMZ (or preferred equivalent) of Youtube: He saw the swarms of blithering idiots looking for a master, and learned how to harness them for his own benefit, rather than shunning him like better and more liked comedians. In terms of the internet at least, he's slowly but surely working his way toward becoming an evil overlord, complete with an army of soulless, eternally loyal minions and a dark throne from which to command them.
can we like, lure them all to one area, and then call in a B-52 strike?
if you pewdiepie really helped you overcome depression then I just don't know anymore
if you pewdiepie really helped you overcome depression then I just don't know anymore
He must not have been that depressed
He must not have been that depressed
or he was just an attention whore
if pewdiepie really helped you overcome depression then I just don't know anymore
Pewdiepie caused my depression.
Pewdiepie caused my depression.
Pewdiepie pushed me to suicide. I failed and now I'm rather pissed.
who cares about pewdiepie and his fans let him fade into obscurity already
Yeah just like what everyone said about bronies in 2011! Now they're practically gone! Oh wait...
I feel fucking horrible for actually enjoying his videos at one point.
Don't, his videos were kinda good at one point.
nobody has a fucking clue who lowtax is ahahahah
who are these cook people and why are they trying to rip lowtax up?
While I'm not a fan of PewDiePie's content people who say he doesn't work or doesn't put much effort into anything are just wrong. Managing and making content for a channel as huge as his takes tons of work, even if it might not look like it
While I'm not a fan of PewDiePie's content people who say he doesn't work or doesn't put much effort into anything are just wrong. Managing and making content for a channel as huge as his takes tons of work, even if it might not look like it
Compared to channels that produce actually good content? He puts no work into it. He records himself playing a game (not work, he would likely play said game anyway). Records himself screaming like a 12 year old (probably while playing, so...not work again). Cuts the video up into chunks (first bit of actual work) to be edited into a releasable format. Then he uploads it to Youtube and lets it fester amongst the hellish mass that is his fanbase (tiny bit of work). So per game? Not that much work. Depending how many videos he puts up that could be two or three different games, so, some work maybe? Not a lot of work though, most certainly. I'll give him credit for working out how to play Youtube though, he has some brains and talent to have figured out exactly what is needed to maintain the feedback loop of popularity that Youtube provides. Not many people have managed to work it out that well. But saying he does any real work is silly.
His fan base is atrocious, but you have to give him credit. 1. He can play a game for two hours and have a few days worth of content. 2. His job is cushy as fuck. He could literally stop posting videos for a month then come back and give some bullshit excuse and his fans would believe it and he'd still be making tons of cash. 3. He does a lot of charity stuff which considering his massive fan base can generate significant amounts of money. Other than that I don't really care what he does. He helps charities and what more can you ask? Putting more effort into his content won't make him more money it'll just be a waste of time. He has the perfect formula of putting in very little effort for massive payoff.
