but then he wouldn't be as effective at hunting down replicants
wouldn't it make sense to give him superhuman powers
wouldn't it also make sense to remove the emotional, human part of him and make him a merciless killing machine (:smug:)
maybe I'm reading too far into it but for me it seems that deciding whether or not he's a replicant requires reading too far in
if he knew he was a replicant there would be a clear conflict of conscious
and if he had super human abilities it would be pretty fuckin obvious to him.
and they can't make him dumb cause he's a detective.
i wonder if they even thought it through that much

i still really love this movie though.
[sp]He dreams of a unicorn and in the end Gaff makes a unicorn origami and leaves it at deckards apartment indicating he has false memories like Rachel.[/sp]
anything else? you guys make it seem the hints are abundant
I mean why not just make him fully aware he was a replicant, super smart, but have no conscience and be constantly monitored and require his actions approved before he follows through and shit
I dunno, still a fantastic movie

I watched like five minutes into the theatrical cut, saw him explaining his diet of noodles then just turned it off.
Never seen it but it's on my list.

Blade Runner has one of the best soundtrack I have ever heard, it just adds so much to the atmosphere.

You can't exactly make a film about synthesized humans and give it a totally organic theatrical score.

Apparently they recycled some of the aerial footage from The Shining.

They recycled a LOT of aerial footage from The Shining for that scene.
i thought that looked familiar
Harrison Ford as Jack Sparrow lmao
Lol I would love to see it though.
I make it a responsibility to see these type of masterpieces regularly. I think it would be worth a Blue-Ray buy. I wonder if they got a copy out there with all the versions.
I need to discover movies I might have missed from the 80's. And yeah like the OP said, older stuff looks better. Movies now just started to get good CGI which you don't notice to much, and yet I still prefer the old anamatronix (don't know how to spell that) and the older effect.
Oh God I'm listening to the music while I type it's so freaking epic, I need to watch it sooooon.
I've seen things you people wouldn't believe. Attack ships on fire off the shoulder of Orion. I've watched c-beams glitter in the dark near the Tannhäuser Gate. All those ... moments will be lost in time, like tears...in rain.

then ruined in the theatrical version where Harrison says, "I don't know why he saved me. Maybe it's because of what he just said. You're welcome, audience. Y'know in case you didn't get that."
I'm really glad that I only saw the directors cut version of the film.

It comes in a tin case as well. There was a store near me selling it for £8 but I didn't get it in time :smith:
I think as a cruel prank someone should distribute the Theatrical cut on burnable dvd's
Kind of like the ring but in a less time consuming process then copying a tape.
