I think he just got nervous which prevented him from throwing it good. I don't blame him though I would imagine it's not easy holding something in your hand that could explode any second.
Don't they have a handle or something to stop the hammer from igniting the fuse before letting go, after the pin's been pulled?

Grenades are safe until the lever pops off. The lever blocks a striking hammer which lits the fuse. As long as the lever is still attached to the grenade, the pin can be reinserted and the grenade put back in storage. But I can understand that not everyone takes this into consideration, getting a bit panicked. Fuse can't be lit before the handle pops off. Anyone who would let go of the handle while holding the grenade would get so much shit from anyone, if they even survive. They are basically the same grenades as the nazis used. The fuse is lit as soon as you pull the pin, which is quite a retarded and unsafe system.
Rank up!
Rank up!
Sergeant Sergeant Master Sergeant!
Idiot, Chinese people cannot pronounce L's, sounds like they are using R's.
You americans and your faulty stereoptypes :argh:
That probably still felt like a punch in the gut, seeing as they were still in the same trench as the grenade. The air-burst wasn't deadly, but it still probably sucked.
Holy shit, look how fast he reacts. Judging by that I'd say it was simply protocol and isn't that rare.
should have thrown it underhand like a real man
Even if he stayed up there I don't think he would've been harmed, Pretty fast thinking on the instructor's part.
if you look close in the first 8 seconds or so there's some kind of string attached to the grenade he ties around his finger, might be the problem I don't know
The string he pulls is the fuse. It's a quite shitty grenade, something I certainly wouldn't trust.
Idiot, Chinese people cannot pronounce L's, sounds like they are using R's.
I am terribly sorry.
That obviously happens often, just look at how the trench is shaped.
Idiot, Chinese people cannot pronounce L's, sounds like they are using R's.
From my experience being an American Born Chinese being around many conventional Chinese people, It's actually the opposite. They pronounce Rs as Ls.
He throws better than me. I throw something and it fucking goes backwards.
