It's not really contagious, because I had (didn't know it was Mononucleosis at the time) it and we kissed and made out with my girlfriend normally and she didn't get it.

OP, i have it at the moment, felt like shit for two weeks, was at the hospital for a couple of days too (because i couldn't drink, nor eat anything). But i feel better now, its on the way back, and look on the bright side, you will be immune the rest of your life... lol
My point is, its not really that bad... its just a bit annoying, im only annoyed because im in the middle of my exams, i have a final exam on next Friday and 250+ pages to read, but I'm going through it :p

It's rare that it comes the second time, but you're deffinately not immune to it.

She found out today, that her old boyfriend has Herpes. He's apparently had it for two to three weeks, and the last time they fucked was eight weeks ago, then they broke up.
I've got two questions here.
First of all, I know the average time from catching Herpes to showing symptoms is four to six weeks, if he's had it for two already, and the last time they kissed was eight weeks ago, what are the odds of him giving her Herpes, would he have even been contagious?
Second question, anything I can really do to comfort her?
Also, we kissed yesterday...I'm assuming, that if she has Herpes, that I may get it as well?
