yup... i don`t like them either
Lots of metal is shit, but there are some diamonds in the rough. I used to be a big fan, these days I've outgrown it. However, I'm still a huge fan of Korpiklaani, Alestorm, and Ensiferum. Oh, and Iron Maiden I suppose...
Here's some shit you core guys have never heard of. Woods of Ypres Kreator Slayer Celtic Frost/Triptykon Agalloch Gorgoroth Burzum Trist (the ambient black-metal guy, not the depressing guy) Nile In Flames Dark Tranquillity IRON MAIDEN Porcupine Tree Death Immortal
what are some bands that sound a lot like Steel Panther?
What do you mean exactly? you want a band that sounds like Steel Panther or band that uses the same kind of lyrical theme and all that as in like a Parody band or Comedy Rock?
you deserve a cookie.
x 2
You deserve a cookie.
Eluveitie! I'm gonna see them perform with Korpiklaani in London in just over a month :D I'm excited as hell. Just thought I'd brag.
ITT: People are intolerant of others' taste in metal (see most of first page) Also goes to show that people don't know what 'disagree' means and will jump to 'dumb' if someone's opinion is different.
Avenged Sevenfold sounded really soft to me, nothing personal really, what genre do they play ? It was a long time ago though ?
Their first two albums were metalcore, now they're hard rock. [editline]04:49PM[/editline]
Eluveitie! Boris, Sunn, Kylesa, Kvelertak, Baroness, Converge, Mastodon, Torche, Russian Circles, Amesoeurs, Xasthur and Burzum are my favourite metal bands.

I never listen to groove though so I dunno really :v: and I think DevilDriver have good vocals, they're a good band. And they're melodic death metal as well as groove and I love melodeath.
Iron Maiden (Sign of the cross is THE SHIT!) Metallica Manowar Judas Priest Motörhead My Mum showed me that kind of music, when I was like 6
What do you mean exactly? you want a band that sounds like Steel Panther or band that uses the same kind of lyrical theme and all that as in like a Parody band or Comedy Rock?
A glam metal band that sounds like Steel Panther that throws in a lot of guitar solos. Funny lyrics are a bonus

Actually you'll find there's not one bad band on that list not even a mediocre one. Except maybe Immortal, never been keen on them. But every other band is great.

are you judging my taste based on one band because it sounds like it [editline]09:28PM[/editline] either way it's opinion, I like them and you don't.
what are some bands that sound a lot like Steel Panther?
Tenacious D
I personally enjoy a decent amount of metal Kittie Iron Maiden (being a bassist myself I am in love with steve harris's basslines) Metallica (when my hair is straight I look like fucking rob trujillo =D) Trivium <3 Dethklok Necrophagist Overkill Warbringer Suicidal Tendencies Anthrax Behemoth Testament
I listen to -core and I've heard of all of those bands and, to be quite honest, a lot of those bands are shit in my opinion.
I'd suggest you keep your opinions to yourself then. I'm sure you have better things to do than to go around ripping on other people's music tastes.
Rise Against Bad Religion Suicidal Tendencies [editline]10:55PM[/editline] But when it comes to metal I suggest you guys check out Blind Guardian, Angra, and Gamma Ray
Iron Maiden (Sign of the cross is THE SHIT!)
