Not a bad FL car man (I'm in bradenton). Just tint those fucking windows on the avalon.
you should have went 4500 though in order to pay for new tires. remember that a car is only worth as much as somebody is willing to pay
Yeah, I plan on getting some thick tinting to keep the interior cool and to keep people from peeping in the car.
Just remember that tint SUCKS for night driving, try now to tint your front windows too much. Any amount makes it really hard to see though. I usually just roll my windows down if i'm trying to see anything to the left or right of me, i almost hit a grass median because i didn't know the road had one and i couldn't see it through my window.

I don't plan on tinting the front windows, just the back seat windows and the rear window.
Bought it for $4900. Been cleaning it up, and cleaning up my old Ford to sell it.
Anyone want to buy a 99 Ford Contour SE for $3000? :v:
I'd love to get a rotary, but the upkeep on them is hellish from I've heard, and I sure as hell couldn't afford insurance.
seriously dude?
I still can't believe you bought a marginally large, marginally comfortable, marginally good on gas, and utterly boring car for 5k.
I mean, I can understand buying such a car in some situations. It's reliable, and if you're the kind of person who gets a real kick out of eating lettuce, then this car will be a real humdinger.
But for 5000 dollars?
No.
Just No.
P.S. - I don't care that you talked him down to 4900. The only reason you got off with that so easy was because the seller knew he was still getting at least 1900 more than he deserved.
http://tampa.craigslist.org/cto/ looking at tampa bay cars, OP might be right about finding a good condition car that isn't 9325347534 dollars.
people on craigslist always overprice, doesn't mean you can't talk him down.

You remind me of the guy who bought a Chevy Cobalt over a Kia Forte, even though everyone told him to get the Forte.

My dad would love that since he's always wanted one. Too bad this one is 1500 miles away :v:
