Mmmm listen to Cotopaxi nice and fuckin loud. Juan throws down some fuckin nasty lines in the chorus.
Mmmmmmmmmmmmmmm
Chum-dagada chuddawum booum, to quote the beginning of Day of the Baphomets.
I can't believe we only have a little ways over a month to go before the new album gets released. I'm so excited.
Seriously...the possibilities! It's enough to drive me mad. I'm trying to stay focused on other music, but it's fuckin hard not to listen to Cotopaxi.
I tried to listen to this, i really did. But after long attempts I must conclude that this is the noisiest, most irritating music I have ever heard.
Damn dude. Which album did you listen to?

If it was noisy it was probably Bedgoliath to be honest. It's just, very jammy compared to the others. Whoa, I thought too fast and it became Bedgoliath, That's a pretty cool name for it though.
i think my least fav album is amputecture TBH, my top three in order are de-loused, bedlam, and frances
people really seem to love de-loused, is it the good jams? because I find the songs to be pretty much too rock 'n roll to feel very creative. And if they want to rock out a real lot they should keep it varied like Tetragrammaton or Cassandra or Cygnus.

That's why it's on the bottom of the list for me, no experiments. Also Amputechture is so underrated, for real. EDIT: Trying to get a rip of Since We've Been Wrong, I'll let you bros know if I get it.

Last night I was at a local bar, playing pool, having a few drinks and eating some food with some friends. The jukebox there has a download feature, so I searched for Mars Volta and a bunch of tracks came up. I chose Tetragrammaton and enjoyed the full 16 minute song, blarring while we played pool. It was fucking awesome.
Alright my Facepunch Volta bros. I had to sit at my PC for hours streaming XM radio online, requesting this song hundreds (literally) of times, but after listening to a metric fuckton of shitty radio rock they finally played it. Enjoy. http://www.mediafire.com/download.php?jwfmvtndn0r PS I missed about 5 seconds right at the beginning.
God damn, you're putting your heart into this! And we all love you for that.
Got Cotopaxi and SWBW now. Awesome. Also, I agree. Amp is my favourite Volta album. For me it's, Amputechture > Frances the Mute > The Bedlam in Goliath > Deloused in the Comatorium > Tremulant. All of them are amazing though, that's just the order I prefer them in. Also, Octahedron is sounding amzing so far with those two songs.
Flip Amp and Frances around and you have my list.

I'm not digging the chorus of Since We've Been Wrong very much, but damn, the vocals in the verses are so well done. I seem to think I don't belong heeeeeeeeeeeerrrrre!
Flip Amp and Frances around and you have my list.
Frances is incredible, really dark and weird but Amputechture is better imo. SWBW > Cotopaxi imo. Cotopaxi is more like ATDI with effects and SWBW is Televators 2.
I don't really like the mixing of Since We've Been Wrong, it sounds over-mixed and slightly dull. Sharper sounds would be liked, especially on the drums. And about Amputechture; These are the best songs the album, featured in an Upside down listing. El Ciervo Vulnerado -Least best. Day Of The Baphomets Vicarious Atonement Tetragrammaton Asilos Magdalena -Best best.

Anyway, Volta are letting you stream Cotopaxi, SWBW, Desperate Graves and With Twilight as my Guide with really good sound quality. They've been ripped already but I'm not linking them. Cerpin Taxt, the proper version of SWBW is 7:15 and everything is a lot sharper. Desperate Graves is like Viscera Eyes but toned down, it should've been the overseas single instead of Cotopaxi and WTAMG is an epic. Both of them are so good.

Half the album has leaked. With Twilight As My Guide is amazing. Cedric hasn't sounded this good since Frances.
Tetragrammaton is the song I've played the most in Audiosurf, it's just so completely awesome. And good news about Cedric's voice and the sound quality. I hope there will be some pretty diverse instrumentation on the record too.
we are currently setting up our own Digital store for all of Omar’s titles as well as DeFacto - where you can download the albums in any resolution you want from MP3 to FLAC and everything in between and they will all be much less expensive than buying on itunes with minimum donation being only $5 -$6 an album - Despair is up already and I’m putting up Megaritual right now soon all the older albums will be at this link. and for the first time ever the full length version of Omar & Damo Suzuki’s - Please Heat This Eventually is available here in full resolution all 24:49 minutes for a suggested donation of only $1.99 the digital stores will all soon be up at the RLP Store but until then this is the link Directly for RLP Digital Store De Facto digital store will be at this link De Facto Digital we will not however be able to put up ALL the titles - the ones that came out on labels other than GSL or RLP we might not be able to post this way, I’m working on it - so don’t come yelling about the missing ones. I’m doing my best to get as many up there in highest quality because that is what matters cp for rlp
Awesome. [editline]01:35AM[/editline] I still haven't listened to the other leaked tracks..I'm trying to resist. I might just listen to these ones that have been leaked and then listen through the rest of the album when it gets released on the 23rd. Only a month and 5 days to go!!
Yeah dude I caved. Haha. I deleted them all after a few listens, but damn, it's going to be a long month.
Tetragrammaton Asilos Magdalena -Best best.
Asilos is my favourite song to play on guitar, lately. I can only play the first minute or so of Tetragrammaton, but that's fuckin' awesome to play too.
So far, with all the songs I've heard from Octahedron, it sounds like De-Loused but strangely it reminds me of My Chemical Romance's The Black Parade at times. It's not REALLY a bad thing, but it's certainly unnerving [editline]02:47PM[/editline] I do not like With Twilight As My Guide. Everything else is :krad:
