=reminds me of My Chemical Romance's The Black Parade at times. It's not REALLY a bad thing
Yes, yes it is. EDIT: FUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUCK http://twitter.com/sargenthouse/status/1832988475 I would give my left nut to see El Grupo Nuevo live.
Just curious, anyone on here listen to live boots?
Probably my favourite band. Way too many haters though. Fair enough if people don't like them, but they take their criticisms way too far. The vocals aren't for everyone, but personally I love them. They grow on you if you're willing to listen. Edit: Listening to Viscera Eyes now actually. It's like having your earhole fucked. In a good way.
Knew you'd be posting in here somewhere. Even if it was over a year ago.. :|
It leaked. So did I.
Knew you'd be posting in here somewhere. Even if it was over a year ago.. :|
I've posted a few times since then ;D
Love the band...They are fucking amazing live and so trippy. put all there cds on shuffle and space out. Great insperation to my music
God damn. I'm proud of this thread. Their new CD is alright IMO. It's not one of my favorites but I haven't listened to it while blazed ;)
Well, get to it. Haha. I'm really diggin the album. It's a slow burn throughout, the polar opposite of Bedlam. Lots of tension though, especially in Teflon, Halo of Nembutals, and Luciforms. Also, Cedric can really sing again. Hooray!
New album is amazing. Not a bad song on it.
is it out legally yet?
Nope, comes out on the 23rd.
I'm still resisting downloading the album. Gonna do my best to finish the wait out for 17 more days!
I saw it leaked and snapped like a dry twig. Best of luck dude. Haha.
So far so good. I should stop reading this thread, though. Makes it very hard when you're all talking about the new songs :P
The new album's great. I've only really ever liked De-Loused, but I'm gonna try to give Frances the Mute a few more listens.
I quite like The Mars Volta, but their vocalist does annoy me.
The sound is fucking sexalicious. The vocalists does sound kind of annoying after a while. It's one of those bands that you can't listen to the whole album through (even if you want to) without a break in between for your ears.
I quite like The Mars Volta, but their vocalist does annoy me.
He grows on you. I had The Bedlam In Goliath in the CD player in my Jeep for the past 2 months, listening to it on repeat in between driving to work and shit. I never get sick of listening to TMV.

Anyone got Omar solo stuff ? I've got Abscence Makes The Heart Grow Fungus, Calibration (Is Pushing Luck and Key Too Far) *Which Omar's singing is awesome on*, Old Money and Se Dice Bisonte no Bufalo
I don't have any of his solo stuff, nope.
I don't have any of his solo stuff, nope.
Calibration (Is Pushing Lucky and Key Too Far) is really psychedelic. Has him singing on it too, his singing voice is really deep. Old Money is mental, it's like Bedlam in Goliath. Se Dice Bisonte, No Bufalo has Rapid Fire Tollbooth on it which became Goliath. Most jazzy one. Abscence Makes the Heart Grow Fungus is just pure awesome.
I'll have to check them out. [editline]02:14PM[/editline] Thanks!
I have them all, And I would say the best ones are probably A Manual Dexterity Soundtrack Volume One. and Megaritual (someone is to be thanked for this one) Which should prove to me that his newer stuff can be good too, as Megaritual is pretty fucking freshly made. But what I've heard from the new album (Since We've Been Wrong and that other relased song) just didn't do anything for me. I suppose someone close to them needs to die again for them to make my fashion of stuff. Oh my dear Amp and My beloved Frances, how sweet are your lyrics and songs.
CRYPTOM-FUCKIN-NESIA Seriously, if you haven't heard that album DO IT NOW. Old Money, Se Dice, and A Manual Dexterity are legit as well. Oh and Calibration is awesome.
I haven't. But from the trailers it seemed a bit too Bedlam/Calibration -esque for me.
I bought the vinyl. It's hanging on my wall along with the album cover and the poster that came with it. Looks fucking sweet.
I'm going to see The Mars Volta this weekend at Bonnaroo. It should be awesome.
