wtf are you a god, 6 A-Levels and soon to be 7?
Haha nope, one of them's general studies so it's 5 up to 6 really! Gonna be a bit dodgy in summer next year though now that they've taken January exams out, I'm sitting something like 10 maths modules.
I was pretty chuffed with my 3 As (one being 3 marks off an A*) until reading this thread.
I managed to get a U in ICT coursework and an A overall, looks bizarre as fuck
For my AS I got B - Biology B - History D - Literature C - philosophy (1/2 AS) Everyone in my class got a U in the literature exam. I got an A in my coursework, but totally flunked the exam :s

ICT - Distinction Music Tech - C Physics - E Maths - U At least I can still move onto next year :/
Shitting myself over the GCSE results after I found out that because of my poor performance in the IT controlled assessments my GPA can only max a low D with the result from the paper. The fact that I thought I tried pretty damn hard on those makes me pessimistic about the other subjects.
I got into Bangor yay! I started drinking at 10:00 am to celebrate.
Woo anyone off to bristol?
DED Disappointed tbh. Still managed to get onto my course though so whatevs.
In clearing - got an offer from Manchester for Philosophy and Politics (ABB) Anyone been to Machester Uni? Any good?
My AS results are AABBC One of the As is General Studies though, but ironically these are exactly what I predicted and what I need xD Computing - A General Studies - A Physics - B English Literature and Language - B Politics - C
you crazy. also general studies doesn't count because it's mostly worthless in most universities i've seen haha
Though, don't knock it that much, I want to go to Lancaster and they accept it for their computer science course:
A/AS-level: ABB We normally expect three A-levels. General Studies is accepted as one of the best three grades if four A-levels are presented. Applied A-levels: accepted for a maximum of 12 units plus an A-level. Key Skills: Not included in the offer.
I mean general studies is fucking easy as all hell to get a good mark on, I got 100 UMS in the first exam and 90 in the other, just by bluffing and writing long essays, so it's worth giving it a shot as a backup incase one of your other 3 subjects goes awry.
got a d in my pe gcses, im going to peckham sports college guys¬!!!
so i just paid £168 towards my new house only £1000 to go before i can move in
Got ABB, A in Computing and two B's in Maths and Physics. Got what I wanted to do Computer Science at Sheffield!
I got into Bangor yay! I started drinking at 10:00 am to celebrate.
A couple of my friends are going to Bangor. Maybe there's some chance that you'll meet them. :v:
In clearing - got an offer from Manchester for Philosophy and Politics (ABB) Anyone been to Machester Uni? Any good?
Far off uni here, but it has a very good reputation.
Got AAAA in AS Bio, Chemistry, Physics and Maths. Dropped 2 marks in total in the 3 maths modules (both from C2), and missed out on an A in Chem2 by 1 mark.
I'm doing the same subjects as you next year, how was it?
So after three years of being held back by mental illness, I only went and pulled a final exam result set of 100%, 100%, 99%, 98% didn't I? A*AB recovered from ACD this time last year. Fuck yes! I'm so happy today, have an article on me from 2005.
Anyone going to Edinburgh Uni? Specifically edinburgh and not napier
I got a B in Psychology, C in Physics and a D in Computing. Had my place for Forensic Computing confirmed at the University of Central Lancashire, even though I got a grade below my conditions...
I'm doing the same subjects as you next year, how was it?
I didn't find it too bad. Didn't enjoy the Physics course as much as the others (we did OCR Physics A). Doing the Mechanics maths module really helped with the Physics. I found Chemistry the hardest to get good marks in, but it was just a case of persevering and doing as many past papers as possible, and learning from them (for instance, bonding questions came up in most of them, and I usually fell back on the metallic part, so I worked on that more). Really felt I messed up the EMPA written paper (AQA Chemistry), turned out I actually only dropped 8 marks, so I suggest getting your revision in for that. Didn't really have much trouble with Biology during the course, so I focused less on it when revising. Perhaps this is why it was my lowest overall mark, but I couldn't have fitted much more in. Definitely do revision at Easter. Good luck.
A*A*A here for me, going to Imperial to do Geology MSci! Woop
Place at Manchester is confimed, still waiting to hear about Duhram!
And after 11 hours they finally confirm, with AABB off to Durham I go!
So i got a D..in everything...ugh..
I got my results, but it's missing IT? The fuck? It's only got Psychology and Music. Psychology - U (Dropped out) Music - Merit
