I don't like manga as a rule, but there have been exceptions- Uzamaki primarily. I'm ok with graphic novels but I can't get intot hem unless they have a just right art style. 28 Days Later's graphic novel, Scott Pilgrim, and some of the stories int he Halo graphic novel I could get into. V for Vendetta, watchmen, alot of comics, and if I remember right The Walking Dead were all too...I don't know, I just can't stand their art style and really couldn't get into them. But I'm a huge fan of Scott Pilgrim.

The Far Side. Amazing comic. Gary Larson is nothing short of amazingly awesome.
Excuse me, but you all seem to be forgetting the best comic there ever was. [IMG]http://blog.theavclub.tv/wp-content/uploads/2006/11/transmetropolitan_1.jpg[/IMG] Download Comical. Then go here to read them.
My brother has all the books of this series. I sat and read my way through all of them when I was staying in London. They were fantastic. Plus, i'm really into Tank Girl:
Do webcomics count too? (story based ones anyway) Then I present: Homestuck! Homestuck is a huge (currently over 5000 pages) ongoing webcomic about a boy and his friend's attempt to save (no, not the earth, that was the first thing to go) Skaia from destruction. The story gets VERY confusing, but has one main over-arching plot. People have said they have read it several times and still find new things they missed before. It is continually updated and in fact, the average page count per day is 5.5 Like Problem Sleuth (another great read, it's been completed), it has a lot of video game logic in it. Another cool thing, is that every page is animated. Some are huge flash animations, and some even have sound!(the soundtrack is actually pretty awesome) What other webcomic do you know does that? It starts off slow, but once you get past the first act, the story picks up fast.

I read this in Highschool when I was a freshman. I had no idea what "graphic novel" meant because I was a stupid little twat, but I picked it from a list of subjects because it didn't sound boring. I guess I was right. Oh by the way, this is the comic that the exploding giraffe head image that sometimes pops up in the LMAO pics is from.
