Belomor are meme cigarettes, no one smokes them here if normal cigarettes are dirt cheap here anyway. They do sell Russian-made stuff here, but only if there's demand for it.
Also, I've never heard of anyone ever immigrating to Ukraine for work, that's really weird.

Can you at least confirm they are still produced in Russian Federation? I can try to get a friend to ship me a carton every now and then.

Yes. They are extremely hazardous for your health (very high amount of resin and nicotine, higher than other brands) though, if you have to smoke I do suggest you try something else.
