Behind the scenes on a shoot for the new DeWALT heavy duty 2 gallon compressor with Blaze. Shots will be out in the 2012 Home Depot catalog this summer.
This is what we do for the summer in my town, or well just out of my town:

Did they come to you?
Citing a distinct lack of market for power tools in certain urban demographics, they came to us. I can't release too much about it yet, but their marketing director wants to advertise just how whimsical it can be to build your own log cabin with DeWALT air tools.
sounds magical...

^This one was good fun. Its a machine that reacted to sound. The flaps would lift up when it detected some sound so there were people running up and screaming at some board getting it to flap up.
A little backstory: the rancher needed all of these broncs moved, but was too lazy to haul them two miles in trailers, so they decided to get a shitload of cowboys together and drive all of them to the rodeo grounds like they used to back in the old days. The operation went horribly wrong, the horses went through a guy's yard and trashed some wheat and corn fields.
C&C is much appreciated!
It's just a standard 8x10. One of my friends is in the photo and I figured that if he wanted a print I might as well just make the photo easily printable.

I went out for dinner and took a few shots. Not too sure if I like the composure on this one, but I really liked the way the colours worked together.

What do you think about them? C&C very welcome.
The colours are awesome and the composition is pretty decent. The first image would have been better if there was more of the chairs and less of the crates. The second image doesn't really have a subject, and if you focused more of a specific part/individual it would have been stronger.
Lastly, the focal plane is focusing on the least interesting part of the meal, making everything else awkwardly out of focus. If you concentrated on the carrot, it would have popped more. Composition, for me, is spot with wonderful colours and reflections everywhere.
One of the first sunrises I've shot in earnest. I think it turned out pretty well.

With composure, do you mean composition?
Your colors are nice, though the pictures aren't really exciting or anything. I think the second pictures is the strongest because it has people in it. Ofcourse you don't need people to have a good picture but it can help.

Your friend obviously has no idea how invaluable a tripod is for low light, long exposure and landscape photography. Oh and self portraits.
Actually, thanks for reminding me! BoA denied the payment for some reason, gotta figure out why.

Aha, so apparently Amazon reversed the date on a saved card. No idea what happened there, but hopefully my picture quality will improve once I get it, my hand isn't steady at all.
Plus I'm saving for a DSLR.
It's a 57 inch Tripod, is that an alright height?
Just got back from Peru, hiked the Inca Trail to Machu Picchu and had a great time. I'll add a couple of my favorites every few days. Let me know what you think, I tried not to take too many "touristy" pictures.
