~Reserved for half page discussion on watermarks~
It was meant to be a joke for my friend. I borrowed his tripod for that shot, without it, probably wouldn't had gotten it. Haven't been to disney ever since.

Did you use a neutral density filter for that? Looks like you might have been able to pull it off with like F22 or something

The first three don't hugely appeal to me though. I'm a sucker for close ups of flowers and snowy mountains.
A quick question: what is your favourite sport to photograph?

.
hello there chaps! i've heard good things about this section and i'd like to see more of it... so here i am. i've always had an interest in photography, and i studied it at A level but since i came to university i've not found much time for it, but i'm just about to start the summer holidays and i'd like to get back into it, but i'm not quite sure where to start. i have a canon 400D, olympus OM-20, lomo action sampler and polaroid kicking around somewhere and back when i studied it i used to use them a fair amount but now they're all gathering dust in a corner. so i was wondering if you guys had any ideas and advice for me to push me back into it? i just really don't know where to start, though i guess taking a roll out with the olympus would be nice, i feel there's still some magic in waiting for a roll to be developed opposed to instantly viewing shots on your digital... anyway here's a couple of shots i've taken in the past, nothing special but i still quite like them from my slr and this is really noisy and really saturated and i'm not quite sure what to make of it, but i still kinda like it. i think if i cropped it pretty much halfway and only kept the bottom it would be better? but when i took it i was all OMG SUNSET so arTistic!!~ [t]http://fc08.deviantart.net/fs50/i/2010/120/f/0/sunset_over_KK__by_AutumnNovocaine.jpg[/t] olympus polaroid
your avatar brings back great memories Autumn
memories of what, dare i ask?
memories of what, dare i ask?
memories of Alice in Wonderland, of course!
polaroid
This is pretty cool. Doing a series about a single subject/shape/thing or whatever is a fun idea to look at stuff in a different way. The other photo's are good though I personally think they are not that special. I'd suggest just shooting a roll or take your camera with you on more walks/trips/when you are going out. [editline]2nd June 2012[/editline]
U WHAT BLACK MAGIC DO YOU ENGAGE IN TO GET THESE PHOTOS!?
I think it's a mix of fullframe cameragoodness and long focallengthyness+shallow depth of field by huge apertures like 1.2 or 1.4ish And ofcourse good lighting
Yeah it's all the camera, i just turn it on and it takes the photos for me!
shit man, I don't even have to turn my on, I just leave it on my desk all day and the photos magically appear on flickr!
Yeah it's all the camera, i just turn it on and it takes the photos for me!
Don't hate dude. He was asking how you achieved that effect and I only said it was a mix of the focal length, aperture, the dof that cames with full-frame and good lighting. If I am wrong in saying that this is part of the 'trick' then please enlighten me on what else you did to achieve those pictures
Yeah it's all the camera, i just turn it on and it takes the photos for me!
oh, there's also the very angry man with the axe positioning the camera
I got a Holga 120 for my birthday a couple weeks ago, my first film was developped and I didn't really know what to expect. Especially since A. It's a Holga; B. It's my first roll of film; C. First camera I own. Anyway, here are the best shots from said roll.
