I really like this shot, the post processing just feels a little heavy.
I have no inspiration what so ever. Feels like I'm taking pictures to fill an emptiness I feel when I carry the camera. I don't know. It reflects in some of my photos. Tried my hand at black and white. CC and all that is greatly appreciated :smile:

the polis searched me, this councillor and another Green one and almost everyone else in the area because they put a section 60 order in place. when we realised they were using class and racial profiling they switched to searching everyone

I've been using legacy lenses recently, they're really fun but I still miss focus too often, I've been trying to use the "focus before hand, let the subject move into focus" but it's difficult to gauge where you're actually focused.

make sure your eyepiece is properly diopted, then just practice focusing, focus forward and back and decide on what you think is the best focus. do that for a while and be sure to use zoom assist, that makes a HUGE difference. if the EVF isn't working, use the LCD, but practice the method of pulling focus several times before taking the shot. relying on zoom assist can make you miss moments.
if you are shooting RAW set your color profile to b/w, and set the contrast and sharpness to full, and you can tell focus much more easily than a flat image profile.
also when using legacy glass, understand that they are not optimized for wide open performance. back then you would buy a 1.2 lens over a 1.8 because of better performance at f2, and the 1.2 would be reserved for limited use. the imaging sensor of the EM5 is smaller than FF, but digital is much less forgiving on lens faults. so keep your lenses at about f2 or 2.8 as fastest, and practice the other techniques i suggested.
Cheers trogdon, the EM5 has extremely good IBIS and you can have the IBIS enabled while holding half shutter, this really helps focusing as everything is very steady which can be an issue at 100+mm.
I've been using a couple f1.8 50s, a 75-150mm and two other teles, my favourite so far, Fujinon f2.2 55mm which I got as a bonus when communistcat sold me a praktica LTL, even when focused it's quite soft and I like the dreaminess it gives in the colours, 55mm (110mm 35equiv) is also near perfect for shooting people on the street, close enough that they see you and probably feel comfortable, but far enough that it isn't in their face.
