Thanks for the criticism on my street photography stuff I posted a few days ago. Here's my fireworks pictures from the Fourth of July on the same trip, I was on a boat so a tripod would've been pointless but I think I managed to get some good shots anyway.

To me only the first and third really stand out.

The 1st, 4th and 5th photos all share common problems. Too little motion blur makes it look like they're almost standing still (in the last, this is offset because of the wheels tilting). And there should be far more space in the photos to the left, in the direction they're driving, like you did in the 2nd.

Out of all of those, I like the 3rd the best, because of the atmosphere that photo breathes. It's really nice.

I was hesitant to use a longer exposure because it's fucking hard to track a jet engine powered car going 300mph and get minimal motion blur on the car. The third one is my favorite too, it's a lot more interesting from the starting line than from the stands along the track, but the track officials told me to screw off before the jet powered cars came (I don't blame them, those things spit fire out of them). Anyway, at least I know what to work on next time.

Also, speaking of spitting fire out of the cars, here's a photo from that night that I think turned out a lot better:

I think that you have too much empty frame on the right and you should have probably kept the ISO at 100 but aside from that it looks nice but it's kind of a typical firework photo.
