love this one
Yay, somebody on the Internet likes my shots! :D
Crop it
What is this, 1822? [t]http://i.imgur.com/jfkgm.jpg[/t]
Those are some dull colors. I get what you're trying to do with the mood, but in the end it results in a dullness. I think a series of different blueish colors would be more exciting and lend the same effect. Also I don't like that vignetting.

Got some issues with the film not advancing, but I'll sort that out in the next few days.

I love the transition that goes on from left to right.

Are they really that generic?
10/35 by GuruLongie, on Flickr I've been getting no response on my last couple of pictures here, comments or ratings. Are they really that generic?
Fair enough, you deserve an answer so I'll lend you my onion on this one: The idea has premise, but that's about it really. The execution has many, though objective, flaws. For me those flaws are the black-on-black colors, that's always annoying and distracting, and a lack of reading like in your composition. A lack of interesting colors and, like many others before you, dotted background contrasts that serve for nothing but to confuse the eye. Now, you've obviously got a good idea going, both the old camera and the old tree instantly gives me associations with childhood, but before you snap the picture think "how is the lighting, and how can I make it presentable?" - for examples on how to do it right, spend the next few days analyzing professional photographs, then your own. Remember: study the photographs that you think are the most amazing and impossible photographs you've seen.
Thanks for your onion
Thanks for your onion
Well actually it's a garlic but you're welcome.
The idea is cool but up your exposure a bit
The idea is cool but up your exposure a bit
Better then putting his exposure up: find a location where the camera and tree are lit, but not the background. Get better light contrasts.
I shot at another gig this past weekend. Please let me know what you think! Mind the watermark. Too lazy to re-export all the pictures without them. I kinda like it, though. Does she have a broken arm?

The dark colours make it hard to differentiate the camera from the background. The photo has no substance and the angle is pretty confusing and has no closure you know? I'd say get some more interesting subjects and always think about how your subject is looking in relation to the background. No poles out the head n shit.
my go at senior portraits for my friend Allicyn
God dammit. My senior photos I did for my friend are crap to that. :'( Although, I do feel like if it's a senior picture, there's too much room. My eyes wander too much when they should be focused on her. Good shot otherwise.
my go at senior portraits for my friend Allicyn
I would say that shot needs to be a bit more intimate. It feels too wide, especially when the fringe light is that perfect. I do like that golden grass though.
Does she have a broken arm?
Yeah I noticed it too, didn't know how bad it was but with a response like that clearly not good :P I have more from the set but that's the only one I've edited so far.
Yeah I noticed it too, didn't know how bad it was but with a response like that clearly not good :P I have more from the set but that's the only one I've edited so far.
Oh god I just saw the 'broken arm' and actually cringed.
Nothing fancy. Just an experiment of sorts. I found a concave piece of plastic on the ground and took a shot with it covering the lens. I think it's sort of dreamy. Also, I like the water drops in this one.
