The past couple of pages of this thread all I've seen is vignette rape. It's borderline tacky facebook filters.

Are you aware that vignette is actually most commonly a product of the cameras capturing of the image, not a post production effect to 'enhance' the image.

I like it but I feel like there's too much sky at the top. My eyes are more drawn to the empty top than the beautiful mountain at the bottom.

Would've been great if you put up a tripod and took a 30 minute exposure shot there, get some motion on those clouds. They are from the looks of it moving towards or from the tree, creating a would-be perfect composition.

i lot of it is probably mine; i dig vignetting.
I noticed
honestly it isn't a bad thing, though there are times it can look really artificial and ultimately distracting. Obviously some people just think it makes things instantly artistic and it's a standard 'feature' in instagram kinda stuff, but it can help draw attention to the center of the photo and give a picture an entirely different feel without very much change
just be mindful of when you use it, don't stop, but don't push it too much

ND400 will do about 8 stops, so combined with a small aperture, you might be able to get something particularly long. Don't know about 30 minutes though, coz I've never tried it.
