It makes me want to start gliding.
This shot has been well received when I posted it on Facebook, but I'm not sold on it. What do you guys think?
[img]http://i.imgur.com/rgirr.jpg[img]
It's a cool subject but the oversaturation doesn't work, the half in frame doors are not cool and it has a weird format, it is so long.
If you wanted to show the -_- face in the window you should have framed that t ighly or wider but this is just an inbetween that leave me confused.

lens problem?
D0C, you're pretty damn good, especially since film.
the focus seems to be too far away in all of them

I seemed to forget to take my 50mm off of f/1.9 for the whole roll and i think my split lens focus might be a bit off, my photography teacher loves soft focus though so he seemed happy!
just a random snap of a kid i know wanting to stroke my fish:

I really like the tones in it, any thoughts?
Love it!

Photos from a couple of months ago at a dock near my home.
It'd be awesome for some CC from you guys as I'm only 14 and are thinking of doing Photography as a freelance in a few years time.

Would love CC although these are a bit old now (4-5 months)
D0C, you're pretty damn good, especially since film.
Thanks. I once took a trip to the local zoo, and took a bunch of pictures, but because it was short notice I only had some film that turned out to be in horrible condition, and pretty much none of my pictures turned out........ I love my DSLR, but film just gives off a different feel sometimes that I like more.

Some more of those deer and a tree shot. It's a simple shot, that would have been better if the trunk of the tree was better exposed, but I was hiking down a mountain and stopped for about 3 seconds to take it.

Grain from a blank negative scanned in, washing them out with the exposure controls in photoshop, maybe adding two tones into it with gradient map, and contrast adjustments

What about the TV itself? If they're completely shopped in its really well done
What about the TV itself? If they're completely shopped in its really well done
I went around asking people for their old tv's and then just opened them up with a screwdriver and removed everything from inside them. the screens are all shopped in

Just a couple more from when I went to Switzerland back in March.
Yes it's how I refer to my converter combo thingy. It's 12mm (18 equiv) and a real awkwardly performing lens, sharpness is never there and micro contrast isn't either so images look flat but I still like the perspective.
And I've done a little bit (just using CS6) but overall it's over my head I've never used noise reduction, I didn't know you had to on low ISO's
I like what you're doing with these black and whites. It's not often that people can do those properly

Two shots from a Church benefit show, room was pretty dark and I was having focus problems. A few came out good though I believe. CC?
IMO the flash in the first one makes the shadows too harsh, second one is good
I agree with that, I rigged up a small diffiuser, but I couldn't light him up enough to get a still shot. He was ALWAYS moving, for being 15 the kid knows how to put on one hell of a show.
that dude is 15?
Yeah! Im good friends with him, I played Guitar in that band for about 3 months, I had to quit due to work. So, I go to all there shows now and just take pictures haha.

Thanks a lot dude, I've been trying out some new techniques in post and I'm really glad they turned out well. I really wanted to capture the majesty of the mountains. I wish they weren't 4000 miles away :/
Here, have 2 more.
sweet mountain pictures
first is awesome. second is too, but i'm worried that the lower potion might be just a little too dark, unless you wanted it that way. it's a pretty interesting effect as it is, kind of upsets the balance of the mountain in the background.
eh
seems like a pretty crazy perspective to shoot at. doesn't need to be "eh", if you know what i mean. the composition is iffy right now, but consider starting over (lose the vignetting) and maybe crop and/or rotate him/her to be facing upwards. or whatever, get creative with it. you can replace any sky you cut out with sampled content aware or something.
maybe it's just me, but i'd look at that picture as an opportunity to do something crazy in post
My first shot of lightning. How'd I do?
