isn't amsterdam beautiful? Got a few photos from when I went, but I was mostly so stoned I could barely walk :v:
Yeah, it's pretty awesome. The first time I'd been too. Smoked all day every day the whole 5 days I was out there.
Man you live an insanely interesting life.
I don't know really. I just make sure I grab most opportunities that present themselves to me. Saying yes to most things helps. You can't live by that, but you can always be surprised by the things you find yourself doing if you let yourself do them.
hmmm maybe, just need to find the best deals!! also: more of a colour test than a full piece, anyone got any cc on it?
I love those shades of red. If done right, they can be especially beautiful. Shots lacking a subject though. Big empty hole in the middle. And it's not about 'deals'. Buses instead of trains and aeroplanes. Hitchiking is always good (I'm hitching down to Brighton next week I think, but it's always easier in Europe than here in the UK - there isn't a culture for it here). Feels like the mid-tones could maybe be darkened a little? And the colour seems a bit off - certainly doesn't look like the Aussie scrub that I know, but a nice shot regardless. Here's another shot from the festival: Untitled by edwin.quast, on Flickr Untitled by edwin.quast, on Flickr

[editline]14th October 2012[/editline] Pick, you are my other hero.
My first timelapse, its fairly short (19 0.4 second exposures every 15 seconds)
Two more from the show. Both taken on a 60d with a Sigma-Z 135mm 2.8 from the 70's. My father took his sister's engagement photo's with this lens. It's nice to put it to use for myself now.
Very crisp! Look for chromatic aberation though, it shows HEAVILY at the shadow in the second one.

[thumb]http://puu.sh/1eYHz[/thumb] Took apart a hard drive :v: Best part is, the mirror was so perfect my camera couldn't auto focus.
Got a new one Owl's Head Lighthouse in Maine
I like the leading lines up to the lighthouse. Got any closer shots of the lighthouse? The lighting on it looks nice.
I've got one somewhere, I still need to edit it. [editline]14th October 2012[/editline] Got a few other pics edited today. Coast of Maine Mink in the Water Mink Stormy Night (I really liked this one)
Thoughts? Not sure about his hands.
[thumb]http://puu.sh/1eYHz[/thumb] Took apart a hard drive :v: Best part is, the mirror was so perfect my camera couldn't auto focus.
Love the light catching the web area between your thumb and index finger. Also a perfect mirror should have no effect on your autofocus, it's the blank ceiling/wall it had trouble with.

Second his hands do seem a wee bit awkward, but then again, every time I look at it, I think his head is way smaller than it should be, compared to his body...
Cheers man! Big jackets will do that to people :v: [t]http://i.imgur.com/c370n.jpg[/t]
Photo of my sister. How's the composition and pp? I dislike the rounded edges. The other day I realized why people love them so much, they've been seeing them for 40 years though old viewfinders of analogue cameras so I guess the rounded edges trigger some kind of nostalgia. It works for the second pic though, there they compliment the structure.
