I took this for a musical piece I made today, thought I might be able to share it here, nothing special, just whoring DoF on a flower in my garden because I'm so ~~artistic~~ It's in very large resolution, so send it to your grandma for her new wallpaper
What killed it for me was the bit of petal that got cut off.

Unf. I wish I could capture Vancouver like you do.
If any of you guys are interested in seeing my pics from Chernobyl, http://facepunch.com/showthread.php?t=1219641&p=38123424
A family friend was going overseas and left their fishtank behind, so I decided I'd use it as an opportunity: Shame about the noise, though.
A family friend was going overseas and left their fishtank behind, so I decided I'd use it as an opportunity: imgs Shame about the noise, though.
fuck noise, there are so many things more important about a photo than their level of noise (subject and composition being by far the most important things).

I don't know.. scene, emotion and mood in it. Everything works, the old car vs the surroundings, the framing breaking the lines compliments the car being partly hidden behind the bush, the green vs the blue of the car vs the rain, I am in love with this one.

So I got my new D7000, and I'm loving it! There was a competition at the expo I bought it at to win a D600, you had to be at the stage during the day in time to catch an acrobatic act, take pictures and upload the best one to a website, I chose this as my entry. I don't have very high hopes for it, but I like it as a photo.
fuck noise, there are so many things more important about a photo than their level of noise (subject and composition being by far the most important things).
Of course, I'd have to agree with you there, but I still think there's room for improvement. Feels good to just shoot once in a while, though! :v:
Of course, I'd have to agree with you there, but I still think there's room for improvement. Feels good to just shoot once in a while, though! :v:
I think in this case, the noise actually contributed to the image somewhat. But that's just my opinion
I quite like the noise in those images too. I used to fucking hate noise, but I've recently become quite fond of it.
noise can be a really cool element to some subjects/environments. i really like it in this picture of mine, the noise adds this cool surrealism to it [editline]21st October 2012[/editline] but it could just be that i was raping it with processing

Sure do love me some e36
Too noisy(the tire one) [editline]22nd October 2012[/editline] Also a tip: a horizontally viewed road breaking through the bottom part of the frame is a very unpleasant view, it's not natural for human view so unless you want to be provocative, be careful with your cropping. ( I hope this is true, it's just something I noticed off all the car pics in this thread)
To0 BiG
Fuck sorry
[thumb]https://dl.dropbox.com/u/6643010/_MG_3716.png[/thumb]
The colors and lighting in that one are pretty great. Sky's a bit empty though.
Snapshit. Also hella disappointed my photo a few pages back didn't get ANY criticism, despite explicitly asking for it. I mean, c'mon guys I've given my fair share of crit around these parts, it was at the top of the page, what the eff? Expected better.
my issue with this is the back brake needs to come off when riding fixed. :v:
my issue with this is the back brake needs to come off when riding fixed. :v:
That's what I said! My fixed at home hasn't got it... You don't need it!
I don't know much about bikes, so how do you stop without brakes if something steps in front of you?
I don't know much about bikes, so how do you stop without brakes if something steps in front of you?
You use your front brake of course! Also on fixed for non-emergency stopping you can just slow down by sorta peddling backwards (no freewheeling).

Any input on things I could have done different?
