Took couple photos yesterday, here are the best in my opinion: [T]http://puu.sh/1i9Q1[/T] [T]http://puu.sh/1i9Ql[/T] [T]http://puu.sh/1i9Qy[/T] [T]http://puu.sh/1i9Rc[/T] No editing used. :v:
Hey guys, A little random picture I took alcohol rack by chaderotti, on Flickr I think I framed it retardedly, I should have zoomed out a little, I don't like how it cuts off the top of the bottle in the foreground. Apart from that, any notes?
Should've done a "Cafe" scene to be honest. If you wouldn't tell me I couldn't guess 70's Paris for the life of me.
Look at the Yves Saint Laurent stuff from the 70's, or the most prominent photographers of 70's paris (Guy Bourdin, Jean Loup Sieff & Helmut Newton) and you'll see where it's coming from. A cafe scene is really cliché and we would get terrible marks for it. I really respect people who take pictures of bears. If I would ever see one in real life I would probably run as fast as I could. :v Trying to take my camera with me more often because I really want to get better at photography. I really like autumn, the colors are just great imho. I was startled for a second but I know that black bears aren't typically aggressive (usually only violent when you mess with their cubs or scare them).

It was the first time my eyes ever saw the Elizabeth Tower (Big Ben) and the London Eye. I enjoyed how the Tourist-y side of London meshes perfectly with everything around it.
You were in Edinburgh? Why didn't you say :D I wouldn't happily given you a personal tour of nice photographic locations.
That would've been wonderful! We drove up from Newcastle and spent the day there. The people are so humorous and good spirited; and goddamn the women with that sexy accent made me never want to leave.
Got some shots from a fellow photographers D800E, it's most definitely replacing the need for medium format cameras, and handles SO well. Perfect for astrophotography. Got these in mostly 10 shots at 1600ISO around 10sec-15sec. So I went with a few friends on a mini-roadtrip outside of our town yesterday to shoot some landscape, and I ended up getting this shot on a few birds during feeding time. I really like it, it was cropped down, shot on a 35mm f/1.8. Nice shot. Would crush the black less though.
Thanks :) I'll keep it in mind.
Holy shit! What lens / telescope were you using?
Bottom one was Nikon AF-S 50mm f/1.4 G, top one was Leica APO-Telyt-R f/3.4 180mm. The D800E is truly a fucking miracle, and if I ever get one I would make a whole god damn book of Hubble-esque images and put it up for sale!
Are APS-C DSLRs incapable of doing those space shots? Sometimes the stars shine pretty bright where I live and I'd like to attempt star shots sometime.
No ofcourse not, the most limiting factor will be the crop factor on your wide field shots. I use my 550d to get shots like those, ofcourse the D800E is practically MADE for astro shots, so much detail and amazing noise levels. But no reason you can't get decent star shots, just stack more photos :)
I wish I could afford a D800E. Holy hell it's expensive.
