The lighting on the feet give the fact that it has been shopped away, the light source isn't coming from the ground if it's daylight.
I don't know why you'd be falling across the street away from the building or not wearing shoes. But in a sense yeah, it's about as realistic as your UFO shot.
There also probably shouldn't be motion blur on the arms and legs, either, they would seem still in comparison to the buildings.
Went to a little girl's party the other day, took a series of free photos for the mother because she isn't doing too well with money; she couldn't afford a professional photographer. She seemed to be really happy with my work, let me share some of it with you guys. Mucking around with form and pp, not getting the best shots but I think I'm making personal progress which I can apply to my more formal portraits. Thoughts anyway?
Disposable camera. At a rave in London some time over the summer. Taken in London, February 2011 using a Nikon Coolpix p100. Was a complete spur of the moment so not the best quality. I realise it could be brighter, any other advice? [img_thumb]http://i468.photobucket.com/albums/rr42/leestons/Photography/Rosie.jpg[/img_thumb]
work on centering the subject a little more, you want to avoid cutting it off in any way. also, that arm(?) on the left side needs to not be there, one reason editing is very helpful. compositionally it's not fantastically interesting, try working with the rule of thirds a little. next time shoot to have her on the side of the picture or something, maybe looking towards the opposite side. figure out what looks best in the moment. also, like you said, you could brighten it up to bring out more detail and make it more appealing. not to sound mean, but strive to take a shot that totally fucking owns this shot.

It was a complete spur of the moment so didn't really spend much time with composition and things. Thank you.
no problem. dont forget that the most important part of the process is taking the actual shot. editing can only save your ass in so many situations. keep at it
Slip those photos are awesome, the first b&w one is my favorite but they are all really well done, and they have a great candid feel And you are a nice person that's great too [editline]6th November 2012[/editline] also pageking ;( here's an old one i decided was p cool

I like that better
Yeah, definitely an improvement
the background is so busy it's hard to see that he's floating, I thought he was just on one leg posing awkwardly.

Was pretty fun doing them too. Great composition here, and nice portrait, digging the split you have going on for the jungle gym.

Can't help but feel these are a bit overdone, might want to try toning it down a bit. They look a tad HDR, and it doesn't suit them very nicely.

However, this one is exceptionally nice. Digging the moon-bow, the framing here is quite nice also. Pickwickian, you make me want to buy a disposable camera, and see what I can take with it. Very nice shots.
Pick I have a disposable camera in my bedroom which you have now inspired me to use... How many exposures do they have?
Hey guys, I thought I try and join in on this. I wanted to get a shot that reflected the "country" of Austin, which is kinda hard to do when you live a large urban setting, hah. But anyways, I managed to find this place, I'll probably drive out there again. Taken with: Canon T3i, Ultrasonic 28-135mm *Click to enlarge* [T]http://i.imgur.com/TVLZD.jpg[/T] Is there a way to set the size of the scaled image for the boards?
it's pretty cool... but it lacks a subject, above all else. i would also recommend playing around with lightroom or photoshop if you have either, your shot could benefit from a generally warmer tone. also, i can see chromatic aberration on the edges. that's cool, my lens is fucked too!

I do own Photoshop, so I'll edit it for next time. I just got a new lens as well (50mm/f1.4), so it'll be nice to have a clean lens. Thanks for your CC.
Pick I have a disposable camera in my bedroom which you have now inspired me to use... How many exposures do they have?
Typically 24 or 36
