this man stood in the secc walkway. he asked us to take a photo of him, and we complied. from our brief conversation we found he's got a life, a tough one. he's got a family somewhere. he talks with a stutter and he's not got a lot of money, sometimes he plays banjo in the haunting corridor of the secc.[/QUOTE]

I love lighting like this at gigs and stuff, looks so atmospheric
I haven't been in this thread for quite awhile, but I was browsing around Facebook and someone I used to know back in High School posted that he had a new website up and running, with pictures he had taken and videos of the city.
The photos were blurry, he tried for a bokeh effect and it failed, all of his subjects were out of focus, and when he had something to picture, it wasn't clear on what his focus was.

Any who, I am making a photo frame, so I'm picking out different pictures, editing them and then choosing which ones to frame. I included the original, I would just like to know if my editing is... well, good.
I think I should've brightened the image a little instead of over-doing the colours?

you could make the darks a bit less dark, you lose some detail the way it is. not bad, otherwise. i like the rays of light hitting her.

Hiked up Ben Nevis last Weekend. It was pretty chilly, and a hard climb, but worth it. I think I can edit these better, just need some more practice. (Any weird vignette is from the lens, not added).

Next time, try bouncing the flash, of using the flash off camera if you have a flashgun. The indirect and/or soft light will look a lot more flattering.
