I finally finished all of my finals for this semester :D One of them involved recreating a scene from a book we just read for AP literature. I know the photo has some problems but I captured, edited, and had it printed and matted for the next day in like six hours so huge win for me. Props if anyone can guess the book.
100 Years of Solitude. It's an good book if you like magical realism and incest.
Gotta love me some incest haha The photo is good, the only thing that throws me off is the shadow of the carpet, the scene seems lacking in shadows overall so it just looks a tad too dark
Gotta love me some incest haha The photo is good, the only thing that throws me off is the shadow of the carpet, the scene seems lacking in shadows overall so it just looks a tad too dark
Yeah the shadow came out much lighter in the print and I never lightened it because I don't have PS on this computer. But I agree it is too dark. Thanks C:

unfortunately the subjects aren't very interesting, and the way you have it composed brings even more attention to them (isolates them). both are slightly off-center, too, and the first's perspective is just slightly to the right or being perpendicular to the building's face. the second, though more interesting than the first, doesn't really have much going on to make it worth caring about. maybe have the sign in the corner of your shot, or capture the bathroom door underneath in a mysterious way. that lit line in the top left corner is also distracting.
Just messing with old pictures and trying new ideas. Not terribly well executed in in terms of positioning but regardless. Kinda into this stuff, not so sure about my post process though.

Loving dem teabags
Indeed, the tea bags are great. Also meh. My flash fired accidentally, but I really liked the pose. Didn't turn out as I would have liked. Another:

It also might have benefited if the point of focus was a bit closer. My eyes go directly to the tip of the bright green plant because that seems like it's the sharpest point. Second one is nice as well. Like you said the framing is slightly off, but I like the lens flare.

I see the style used so often. To me it 'cools' down the image without adding blue? Hot, cold, that stuff. It tones down the vibrancy of the colours but doesn't make it black and white? I'm pretty confused and can't work it out.
