This is the results of my first time using the program, so I would love som C&C especially concerning PP. I should note that the light in both photos was kind of surreal and I was trying to emphasize that, but did I go too far?
Both look great.
Re-edited a photo from Europe this summer. Forgot which country it was from.
Composition here is striking. Like it really could not be better, sick job on this.
Could not agree more. I freaking love this. Edit for content: I went on a ride from 9am-1:30pm solo today. Had a blast and made this pointless video as well:
Took some photos when I left the house today, just some quick shots from establishment to establishment. Oh and I made a Flickr account. I'm currently at one of the furthest northern points in the world, in the arctic circle - the northernmost place in Europe... The Nordkapp in Northern Norway. On the way up yesterday I took this photo in Finland at about 1pm. The temperature was -30*c.
I gots me a new digital camera for xmas. [I love you guys so I won't quote all the pictures] I know they're not as good as an SLR/DSLR, but how is the quality for a point-and-shoot?
Image quality is alright except for the last one where focus is off. Look at the rock in the lower left corner - it's completely blurry. Defocused areas can obviously be exploited artistically (bokeh, for example) but this here looks like a rookie mistake - failing to focus. The first picture is my favourite of the bunch but I'd crop the branches out of it - they draw unnecessary attention away from the moon (which looks really nice) to the bushes. You don't want that. Bushes are ugly. Same goes for the second picture - the clouds there have great potential but the clutter that contrasts with it brings attention. Since the change of colours between the sky and the house is so rapid I noticed this first and then went "oooh, the clouds!". You'll rarely get this second chance so make sure the attention is where you want it from the first moment. Try some post-processing to enhance the clouds - play around with contrast and colours to make it more dramatic. Clouds love drama! The third one is meh - what am I looking at? I see that you're trying to play with linear perspective (which is great fun and you should by all means continue) but half of the picture is filled with floral boredom - my attention jumps off the bridge and plummets to death as there is nothing there. Improve and have fun with your new shiny camera! [editline]25th December 2012[/editline]

Was having a bit of issue with the focus as it doesn't really give you much help with that, just a wheel you can turn to shift the focus. Also don't have a tripod so I should probably get one before seriously attempting this.

It has that sentimental kind of vibe because of the filmish look, which I think really suits family portraits. Good work!
