tell me what to do Original Version 2 Version 3 (blah blah fake film scratch like bopie, just trying new thnigs) I don't normally do much PP at all. Even cropping.
It's not a very good photo at all. [editline]26th December 2012[/editline] Version 2 is nicest
i like the pp in 3 the most [editline]26th December 2012[/editline] call me a hipster faggot and see what happens
How the hell do you even add post film scratches and such?

middle one is lovely, give some space between the photos when you post :) [editline]26th December 2012[/editline]
How the hell do you even add post film scratches and such?
Get an overlay (many to be found online) or make your own (take photo of lens cap, scan), put it over you photo in photoshop and use lighten blending to blend it in, also helps giving that faded feel. [editline]26th December 2012[/editline] Nsybouts are you serious? How can you disagree with me? Would you hang this up in your house? Would you expect to see this in some magazine or art show? It's dreadfully boring and most of the frame is dead space.
Ohfoohy that is boring, get out of your house. Post processing isn't gonna help a boring picture much like mascara doesn't help a boring girl to be interesting. Take a cool subject and add PP as cream, don't make it the theme of your picture because that's never gonna work in real photography. If you're too used to your neighbourhood to notice cool things, try to ask someone to model for you - face shots have tons of potential. Try to capture feelings! Make them laugh, make them cry (punch them if you have to) and then show it to us. No socks. Socks have no feelings. If you're too shy to ask somebody, take your camera on your next trip outside of the city. Shut down instagram, open up a better picture sharing spot (I recommend http://www.flickr.com/explore/) and get inspired. If you want to learn technicalities, check out http://strobist.blogspot.com/. Good luck and surprise me
I kinda liked ohfoohy's shot :v:
I kinda liked ohfoohy's shot :v:
It is interesting because the feet look like hooves due to their position and you sit there wondering what is happening to them. But I know what it's like to lust for more pictures but be too lazy to move your arse outside. I've had that and it's horrible and I do the best I can to spare people the trouble of not developing yourself at all. See the world because it's one hell of a place and bring back pictures. [editline]27th December 2012[/editline] behold, a sheep without limbs
i like the pp in 3 the most [editline]26th December 2012[/editline] call me a hipster faggot and see what happens
okay hipster faggot. I have to say I agree with this hipster faggot, I like that the third brings out the subtleties and isn't quite as high contrast as the others, in a photo as basic as that it helps to give it a sense of well, substance, in a way.. that being said the photo is still really bland and poorly framed imo. I doubt you were asking for critique on the photo though
It's been a long time.

That's a big glass
PenguinKris that will look way better if you use a rectangular box for water and not a cylinder because it reveals your light and makes it uglier. All in all very creative, great idea. I'd go a step closer, though - the magic of water is in its details.
So my pond started to freeze over. Felt compelled to actually take pictures today too. lighting feels a bit forced, but i like the subject. love the layer of ice formed over the water.
So I got an 1100D, a huge step up from my ancient Sony A100. SO excited. Nothing spectacular, it hasn't even been outside yet.
That's a big glass
or a very small arm
lighting feels a bit forced, but i like the subject. love the layer of ice formed over the water.
Lighting is forced since the lighting is just the landscape lamps. So I really didn't have a say in the matter
Nothing special, just a green line in the sky in the arctic.
