I like that you decided to focus on the beach rather than the sign, good shot
Hot off the camera

I like the colors and look of this one, but it seems stale to me. I don't feel any emotion from this. It's weird because I like it, yet I feel like there's not much to like. I'm thinking too hard...or that crazy tall bowl is throwing me off.
I just need to get out and take some shots. Keep up the great work guys, everything is lookin' good.

What camera did you shoot this with?
What camera did you shoot this with?
Pentax 67 + 105mm f/2.4 @ f/4 iirc (was somewhat under the influence). Film was Ektar 100, starting to prefer it to Portra for direct sunlight.
I like that you decided to focus on the beach rather than the sign, good shot
Getting nitty gritty, the whole idea is naturally the sign would be in focus, but because instead the beach is in focus the viewer is forced to find reasoning behind this untraditional choice. This leads the viewer to read the sign and see that the people aren't obeying it.
Got some film rolls developed that had been sat around since November:

Took some photos of a friend, these two are probably my favorite.
Also discovered that my 50mm 1.8 front focuses quite a bit, so every shot is slightly out of focus :(
I wish I wasn't afraid to bring my camera in the cold.
It's not the cold I'm worried about when I go skiing, it's if I crash and my camera gets wrecked, esp since I go mostly off piste and crashing just happens all the time :v:.

Just came back from snowboarding, didn't take my cameras out the whole time till the last day. Only took it up to the top of the mountain once, was super careful boarding down as my priority on that run was taking photos and not snowboarding. Then returned it to where i was staying and carried on boarding. I was more worried about damaging myself than the camera, as my Pentax 67ii is freaking huge and would definitely hurt me more than i hurt it if i fell :v:.

Oh, you're one of *those* people :P. Where were you boarding?
I was just at Cairngorm mountain, but mild weather meant there were a lot of patches of no snow. Going back in a few weeks when the blizzard we're due for hits and then I'm going to get some proper skiing done.

Last one SOOC because I'm a silly man who forgot to switch back to NEF.
tried kodak portra for the first time; first roll got pretty much ruined during developing, except for a few shots. same with the roll of neopan that i handed in along with it.

Testing out my new tripod in Dubbo, hence all the portrait shots. Thoughts?

I brought my nex snowboarding once, and practically forgot it was in my jacket. Cameras are more fun when you have all encompassing homeowners insurance :P I've brought mine on a lake kayaking as well and nothing happened.

Not bad for an iPhone 4 image I guess, I liked it.
Surely bringing the camera snowboarding or onto a kayak voids the insurance contract? :v:
a really great page so far, everyone has some really amazing shots!
Surely bringing the camera snowboarding or onto a kayak voids the insurance contract? :v:
Not on my parents all inclusive homeowners insurance <3
$10 a year and covers pretty much everything including theft. Real insurance is tight
I like that one a lot, texture is great as well as the focus
thought I'd sling some more film shots into this thread, already posted them in the film thread but fUcK dA pOLiCe

haha indeed, I'm a boarder. I was boarding in the three valleys in the french alps. For some reason i get a really depressing feeling when i see patches of the mountain that aren't snow (apart from rocks), i guess i don't like to believe that everything isn't snow. Boarding on that looks a little depressing haha, although I'm sure its still fun. Bet you can't wait for that blizzard.
Also this first shot is sweet. Nice to see you posting, brother.
Thought it would look good with some grain, thought i'd slap it on, see how you like it. Hope ya don't mind.
