Very nice pictures everybody! I thought I'd post something as well. Just some birds. If I'm not mistaken I took these about a year ago right after buying my second lens, Nikon 70-300mm. And I think they were shot in the auto mode as well, I really need to use it less.

Centering the subject blatantly in the middle makes the shot meh. Second one, you are getting there in terms of framing. But the foreground leaves were a huge distraction. Keep it up and try learning some framing. Sorry for hitting so hard, but that's my critique.

In picture 1, the bright grass is really hurting my eyes. In picture 2, the overly bright head of the bird is hurting my eyes. It's not a bad edit, but the highlights are just too much.
