I went to the pinnacles with a couple of mates for some star trail photography, but accidentally forgot to check the moon, which turned out to be full. But I didn't let that ruin the trip.

I've been wanting to, but I haven't yet had the money for one at the same time as I've found a good plate camera on ebay. It definitely seems like fun and not too difficult, but the silver won't be cheap.
I got 2 rolls of film developed today. $32.50. From now on I am going to develop it myself.

wait, that doesn't surprise me. i asked the photolab guy at my walgreens how much it would cost to develop six rolls of film, and he told me it was like $75 or $80.

The local place where I get it developed is way better quality than walgreens, too. (they leave in roll ends, don't auto correct shit without asking, have a large professional lab in town, not in store.)
A regular roll developed directly to CD (no prints) is $9, but I get the scans in "high quality", which used to be $13, but now its somewhere around $16 now. Sucks too, I really liked the place.

Best portrait I've ever done IMO, not bragging, I never thought I was much good at protraits anyway. Subject is my best friend at his job at The Boardroom, a semi-famous local skate shop.

I just started doing film, and I got my first film developed a few weeks ago.
I got away with paying about $6 for a regular 35mm. Although I scanned them myself.
May next time let them do it just to see the difference if theirs are better.

Looks a bit over saturated, but I think the light, and color of the area played a big part in it being so yellow.

its a shovel haha i didn't keep it steady during the exposure but i couldnt take another to sort it out because having my cars headlights on full beam just drained the battery so i had to choose between semi blurry photo or stuck in the forest with my girlfriend covered in syrup hah.
