I'd get rid of the bokeh dots, they are a bit distracting

any tips in terms of color for this photo? i've been trying a lot recently with a series of random photos with different lighting conditions, and working on the colors within each photo. this one has been a bit tricky for me, seeing how it's a lot darker on one side of the picture, and lighter on the other side. i feel the reds/greens are a bit off, but i don't have a great amount of control over that.
What tools are you using mostly for color?

more cyan/magenta, bring up whites a tad, lower the contrast, and maybe lower the red/yellow channel just a tiny bit.

working with the color tools in lightroom. y'know, saturation, luminance, hue, etc. i also have photoshop, but i work with lightroom because it's a lot damn easier.

What Salmon said, and if you're talking about self portraits, I think it affords an easy way to get comfortable with shooting the human figure when, and wherever one wants before they've developed any skills.

went digging through some 'older' shots, and found this. made it black and white before, then realized how stupid that move was.
I don't want to disqualify learning from an argument for the sake of integrity, additionally there is a point in a discussion where noone is open to the other side anymore and everyone else is just annoyed, again: integrity-fuck it, and I don't really see that as "backing out".
It always takes two to start a discussion so your post is not much better in regard of "starting shit", as proven by itself. Your(and my) other option would've been disregarding the post and let people who think about it think about it and people who don't feel concerned ignore it but instead we have this now.

That's like if I went around sticking notes to people saying, "Certain things you may or may not be doing are wrong" then getting upset when they ask what it meant and defend myself by saying the people it's relevant to should understand it and not question it.
We've always been open to discussing your (and anyone else's) opinions Killuah, it's you who won't let it be multi-sided. In the past you've taken our opinions/responses as personal attacks and turned it into an argument like right now.

It's not meant as criticism to a particular picture and that's the problem here: people feel concerned and somehow become upset because of the insecurity of "wait did he mean me?"

I can only give a hint to think about. [/I]
And since I've gotten shit for posting "hey bopie enough with posting countless pictures of you staring into the wild your PP is sweet though"(this is an example - and I'm glad you stopped, by the way) that is the only valid way to express that feeling without getting too personal.
I just feel like people start to act like Instagram filters.

It wasn't really a shot I thought about at that time but I like that the coastline is more of a subject than the people.

That was the one I was mostly referring to, there's a little one to the upper right but its not as bad. I like the image though, the flash mass it look really interesting
