I like this, the people feel a little too close to the left edge, but any other framing in the format you were shooting would have taken too much off the right anway.
Just my two cents. I think it's a feature that makes this photo different and stands out. Sometimes the rules can be broken.

Not following any rules, just think the people are slightly too close to the edge of the frame. Don't need to be on any third's line or anything like that. I like the general positioning, but it's cutting it a bit close in my opinion.
It's not meant as criticism to a particular picture and that's the problem here: people feel concerned and somehow become upset because of the insecurity of "wait did he mean me?"

[I]Who am I to tell you what to post and what not to post? That's up to you! So when I dislike some particular picture I can give CC. And since I've gotten shit for posting "hey bopie enough with posting countless pictures of you staring into the wild your PP is sweet though"(this is an example - and I'm glad you stopped, by the way) that is the only valid way to express that feeling without getting too personal.
I just feel like people start to act like Instagram filters.
It wasn't really a shot I thought about at that time but I like that the coastline is more of a subject than the people.
The PP is horrible though.
You have to be realistic mate. Let's be honest, most people don't have a whole lot of respect for you as a photographer or a poster in this forum, so it's really not reasonable to expect to be able to post around cryptic criticism. Seriously people aren't going to take something a lowly respected member has posted and give it some deep and meaningful thought over the day. We know that what works on this forum is being upfront and honest, if someone thinks that another person's criticism is helpful then they can use it to their own advantage, and if they don't think it's helpful they can ignore it. I really feel the need to emphasise that you aren't the boss of everyone.
killuah literally never makes sense anyway
he's probably one of the posters who's on the most people's ignore list on this entire form
killauh needs a bro, i'm here for you, bro.

You know you're stretching for ideas when you're shooting your tripod
[editline]10th February 2013[/editline]
To be more constructive, try being more creative with your composition. Some of them seem as though you took them without any real consideration for perspective or framing. I would suggest taking more than one picture of things you think are cool, and to shoot for a unique/interesting way to capture the subject with every shot.
got off of my lazy ass and went shooting out in the desert today with my friend.

pls think things about them
The first one is really cool and just happens to work with that sort of composition, but the rest are pretty poor (emphasis on the third). The main problem is that there is no room for the cars to 'go into' if you will. We have a reasonable idea of where they've come from but it can be best complimented by giving as much, or preferably, more room of the road/track where the car is going to be in a few seconds time. The eye naturally goes to the front of the car and I'm thinking "alright what's up next what's this car's story" and there is nothing, my eye just leaves the frame disappointed. This is a pretty useful tip for all sports so I would advise you keep it in mind at all times. The reason it works in the first one is that there are equal points of interest of the background and the track marshalls (also there's a bit more room for the car to go into). Hope this helps!

The flickering only seems noticeable on relatively reflective surfaces. I don't think it's your exposure, just light sources changing. Either way, it looks fine to me, really nice work mate.
Dunno, I can still see it in the sky.

I gotta make a better cut someday. Can't be arsed anymore, It's 9pm and I'm still at uni.
The sky's illumination is going to change over time - that's a huge crowd producing a lot of light pollution, you're not out in the country side. If you look at the actual flickering areas you can see shapes in the light as it streaks across the building on the upper right.
The level of change in the flickering areas would show up massively all across the image if it were an exposure issue.

stick with v1
Yeah I agree with Bopie. It is just lights and people with phones walking past and so forth.
Don't worry about it.
Bit flickery, dunno why. They were all shot on manual.
if you look at faraway buildings, there's no flickering
i think it's from people in the crowd taking photos with flashes on
