No, but that's more because of the fact that I don't really know what you mean with "ominous" :v:
think like storm clouds approaching type feel, but less literal
No, if anything the guy is smiley and looks like a skinny beardless santa claus, and that hipster woman in the background is anything but intimidating. Looks like a normal bopie shot, just a touch more contrasty and underexposed compared to the usual.
Edit:
If I had to pin it on the happiness scale with 0 being sad, 5 being neutral, and 10 being :D, it'd honestly be a 6 or 7.

your colours are on point at the moment Salmon
funny you say that - In my opinion the photos look a little too 'burnt'.
I agree with them seeming burnt, but he pulls it off. It has character.

Thanks for the input on the last one, got another snap for y'all. Don't take it too seriously hah.

I think the blacks came out a bit too deep. Went for a clearer clean process, though the plain beige wall behind him kinda kills it and exposes the noise a bit too much.
Found a program that stacks images to make star trails so I've been messing with it using old pics from a time lapse with interesting results.

I like this kinda image regardless of how many times i've seen it, bit too much post maybe, I like it for the thought provoking nature from an ex-tripper's perspective, thinking about the way the light bounced and was processed and what not

I agree. The pinky oranges are something I've not seen often before and personally i think they give it a unique look which i only associate with Sam. In a good way.
I tend to not like images that are just motion blurs but that one strikes me as nice, I love the post, and I love that you can actually tell there was a dog in the scene despite the blur

Man this is beautiful. Awesome point of view on this, and I really love how well you work with colors. Do you do selective color editing or simply use the color balance/hue and saturation adjusters over the whole image?

Especially loving those blues.

You were saying at one point that you were partially colorblind? The reds in these images seem really saturated in comparison to the rest of the colors. Is that what you were going for?
Great shots regardless.

I think they mean that your photos have really strong colours in one bit of the spectrum but not as much in the others, in some photos this can look good, in some it looks bad
[editline]18th February 2013[/editline]
like if you were red colourblind, so you would pump up the red channel because it looks unsaturated to you(I know this isn't how it actually works but w/e)

yes, i have protanopia. also, no, the reds in the picture looked really dark and faded, was trying to bring them out. or at least they did to me. guess i should tone those back down? anyhow, thanks!

his skin tones look way too red, and it looks really unnatural, almost like you're trying to make it look incredibly hot out

I think it means very saturated colors with harsh blacks and whites at points.
I don't know. I think your style is fine.

I disagree, although his skin tones are quite red, it works with the shot and style. And it is hot out, its Australia at summer time.
