out of the pictures you posted, this one is definitely the best. the bokeh (out of focus circle things) looks really nice, and the light hits the leaves in a really interesting way. the colors are phenomenal as well, really like the vibrant greens. overall it's some good stuff that you've posted, just be sure to look for interesting subjects, your composition so far seems to be great. overall very pleased with your stuff, keep it up man!

Just for information, the first photo is definetly not from Russia. its from Riga in Latvia. It used to be a part of the Soviet Union, because Russia occupied Latvia for quite a while. But we regained freedom and this is a picture from Old Riga. Not Russia. So is the one you posted a little bit later with the text on it. Thats by the river Daugava, also in Riga, the capital of Latvia. The first one is of the Powder Tower, that was built sometime before the year 1330. Don't know exactly when though. It is now a museum.
Don't mean to sound rude or anything, just to clarify things :)
I can't be sure but i think the second one in the first post might be also of a tower in Riga.

This is the one that is also in Riga, Latvia, not Russia.. The bridge in the back is the Railroad Bridge across the river Daugava.

I love the photos though. it's really nice to see how it looked in the 80's in a picture that isn't from old school books. :) Do you have any more by any chance?

Ohhh, that's why I recognized the bridge. I was in Riga just a few weeks ago. We passed that bridge on the bus tour. And on the other side of the river was this unfinished library, which they can't finish building due to lack of money.

I've been doing quite a bit of experimenting lately, but i don't really know you can gauge the amount of editing? But i do enough, i spent about 20 minutes on that photo.

Maybe the amount of filters and how much you use of each filter? v:v:v Complex mathematics and stuff.

Yep, it still looks kind of dumb, though they already opened it i think. Just yesterday I was driving by and looked sadly at the library with the very top still not done. After they started building it, they realized they don't have enough money and decided it would be cheaper to just finish it instead of knocking it down. and it's great to have a lot more books in one place now. haha..

He's already said he didn't use a filter for that particular shot, but awhile ago he posted that he's using a modded ez.ALB filter. He scraped off some of the coating on a used 0.6 (2 stop) Bopifier and dissolved into alcohol to make a paste which he then painted onto his.
