this shot is really nice, the colors are great and the long exposure looks cool.

Nice picture :) I agree that it looks pretty. But it's the fact that it isn't finished and won't be for quite a while that is pretty dumb. This is not the first unfinished big building in Riga. And buildings look better finished. I mean, we had the money to build the most or one of the most expensive bridges in the world, the Southern Bridge in Riga, yet some buildings have been standing unfinished for years and years. Some not even built enough to actually do something with it. And some take up large amounts of space, where they ruined parks and stuff, to build them. So i just hope it doesn't become a trend in Riga. That's why i said it's dumb. :)
Amazing stuff karlhungus

Nope just sharing EXIF and lighting setup information and examples and offering my self up to questions but I can see you are still a pretentious ass hat.

What was the set up for 'Becky G'?
[editline]1st March 2012[/editline]
Have you ever tested with agencies, and do you get a lot of business with seniors, wedding, family stuff etc. that we don't see online?
[editline]1st March 2012[/editline]
Optional: your 'life story' so to speak, photographically.
eg. What got you to pick up a camera for the first time, how and when did you get into shooting professionally, are you 100% self taught, supporting yourself solely with photos, 'day job'?

I do weekly shoots with agencies in the Miami area. I have 2-3 weddings a month most months and try to book as many family portraits as possible. I entirely support my self with photography as of about 8 months ago (left my job as a pharmacy technician at a hospital)

I used to do a lot of urban exploration. Lead to always being in places I wanted to capture bought a camera snow balled into shooting friends along with me... rest is up on my early flickr pages :P
I am 100% trial and error and flickr taught. I am also a LLC business with liability insurance, equipment insurance, and support my life with my photography.
I think he meant what was the lighting setup (to a more detailed degree).

Holy shit. The XG-1 along with a full metal lens and sunpak flash weighs like 12 pounds. Keeping it steady for 30 seconds, while trying to focus, makes your back feel like yogurt.
Went back to a photo I took about 5-6 days ago. Made a pretty large crop. Any thoughts?

[QUOTE=Inzalonus;34934863]is that perth?
that train station image looks a LOT like kenwick in perth or something
except there's no platform on the other side of the road[/QUOTE]
It's Perth, just not Kenwick. Out on the Midland line around Guildford. You can see the back of Alfred's at the back end of the train.
took a few more shots with my helios:

The first thing I did was google it but I was faced with 0 results so really I have no idea.
Is it something made up by someone or what?

Love this, what an excellent way to isolate the subject, and just the right amount of bokeh. The vertical lines everywhere also look great, in my opinion.
The pure whites are lovely too.
