Thanks man, it was out of focus and i only took one so i couldn't really use it. I plan to use the fairy lights for photos in future though.

Went out to take photos out in the park. Took some decent photos, though I had to delete a handful of them since a woman asked me to stop taking photos of her and her children (which is understandable, i'd be uncomfortable with some random guy taking photos of my child). I offered to delete the photos of her and her family to avoid any problems. Though her dad (I'm assuming it's her dad) kept mad dogging me. Anyways, three of the shots I liked.

Great photos; I'm usually not partial to B&W's but very nicely done!

To avoid situations like that it's always best to confront the person before you start taking photos. I'll often go up to people and just tell them that I am working on a photography portfolio and if they wouldn't mind me taking a few photos. Then keep a few model release papers with you to prevent any legal issues.

Just a bit of experimenting.

The neighbours probably thought I was a mad man, balancing shoes on boxes on a table, using deck chairs as decoy subjects on the lawn and across the road and putting a flattened cardboard box in the garden so the tripod didn't sink in soft sand.

Didn't bother with any PP other than the obvious shoes bit.

C&C appreciated.

In England, dogging is where you park a car in a shady place and get down to business while passers by are allowed to come over to your car and watch.

Don't be jelly, it's their cheapest model (the Carrera) it was like 99 euro / 99$, I'm pretty sure the DFGT it's about the same price.

you can't really, color banding is a limitation of pretty much all digital cameras
